but it can't be said about lsu's D. number 1 D in the SEC last year and return 8 starters.

Are you counting Mills who is now out for the msu game? These are the same starters that we stomped.... Figuratively .... Maybe a little literally?

He's a good QB, but MSU fans are vastly overrating their backups from last year.

I think Nick Fitzgerald is the guy. He is big. He runs very well. He has a really good arm. He is the kind of guy that Mullen wants at QB. He looked very good in the spring game, so I think we will be fine down the road at QB.

Come on, if Beckwith had started LSU would have only given up 200 yards of total offense instead of 600 in that game.

Dak is scarier than either one of the qb's you mentioned. Neither one of those guys had anywhere close to the running ability of Dak. Plus, Dak is a good enough passer to hit guys anywhere on the field, and he doesn't have to be the best thrower to do that.

It's no wonder all the people on here are so ignorant about State's team, they've read nothing but the media spew. Most of which is pure conjecture and uneducated assessments. This seems familiar some how..

If our line was going to be a problem, we'd have been thrwing $$ at JUCO in Feb..

We have lost talent every year since Mullen arrived and been fine. It's more of a nod towards his player development than a deficiency.

Keep telling yourself that and you might believe it one day.

Fitzgerald has looked awesome, with no weaknesses exposed. People are going to be flat out bewildered next year when we have a bad arse Soph qb, to go along with Staley. There's gonna be some pissed off people out there, especially here

I ain't worried. In 2014 MSU won 10 games after losing a 3rd round draft OL, a LB that went to the Patriots, and 6 other starters. We were picked to be 5th in the West.

Then we beat Auburn 38-23 with Gameday on campus..

That does prove a point. LOL at anyone thinking Dan Mullen goes less than 7-5 this year with Dak as his starting QB.

You were ranked 13th by Phil Steele in returning starters... in the country.

This year, you're ranked 121st.

If Dak was the qb for bama, he would be a unstoppable force and give the sec nightmares. But since he's with Moo U, not so much

Which dimension would that be?

Passing game. As everyone has pointed out, OL should be a concern. Some MSU person above posted that RBs should be better, which is a headscratcher.

Unproven oline, unproven RBs...you're going to see defenses with good to great defensive lines. As I mentioned in my last post, Dak should scare opponents, but if MSU exceeds expectations it will be because the RBs/Oline exceed expectations. If they don't, Dak will get his stats but MSU isn't going anywhere.
