Maybe glorifying thuggish behavior is distasteful to some.

Miami loses to Notre Dame because we got cheated,

And that one's not even true. After the questionable fumble call Notre Dame's quarterback fumbled three plays later giving Miami the ball on ND's twenty-one yard line. Miami scored a touchdown four plays later. Jimmy Johnson then went for two and failed. Anyway a Miami touchdown in the first half never should have occurred. A Miami player caught a pass and took two steps before he fumbled. That was ruled an incomplete pass, and Miami scored a touchdown two plays later. One of many examples of how that documentary wouldn't let truth in the way of its story.

I was introduced to Lamar Thomas about 7-8 years ago at a U game. I asked him what he thought of George Teague He gave me this mad look and said he was a great team mate, they ended up playing together with the Miami Dolphins. The guy that introduced me to him I thought was going to kill me

They mentioned that and called in the most embarrassing loss in UM history. They stated it was the game that ended everything. My jimmies remained intact

The first one was all about the amazing run the U had in the 80s and the second one was all about the trouble Miami has had finding that kind of success again.

The Alabama bowl loss doesn't really fit with either of those narratives.

well this recent one was the U part II, so it was primarily focused on the late 90s/early to mid 2000s

I watched both back-to-back and they don't mention the Januray 1st 1993 Sugar Bowl and the epic arse kicking Bama laid on them. They talk a lot about the Erickson era and they talked about the 1989 Sugar Bowl with lots of clips from that game. No mention of the game with Stallings.

I was a kid and was at that game. Still probably my #1 choice of all the Bama games I have seen and thant includes the wins over Texas, LSU, and Notre Dame. "Da U" was at the arrogant peak and nobody gave Bama a chance.

Exactly. Please tell the rest of your Gump friends here that the football world doesn't revolve around them. The loss in '93 doesn't fit in with either documentary. One focused on the 80's and the other focused on the 2000's. A loss in '92 really doesn't fit the story.

In the Part II they showed the fight with LSU in the tunnel after the Peach Bowl and the announcer says "Too bad they didn't fight like that in the game." lol

I mean that's a salty reaction to a question about a documentary but okay

Except that the 93 loss marked the end of that era and took Miami down quite a few pegs. Spin it anyway you want, but I was there and it was a devastating loss for them and marked the end of an era.

They won three conference titles in a row after that game and were # 2 in the nation 7 years later and national champions 8 years later . Miami wasnt killed until Coker.
