It's a bowl game mid season, keep that shite where it belongs.

I couldn't imagine the game anywhere else.

I would imagine when you drive across that Georgia line practically everybody in the state is a Georgia fan. As soon as you get into Florida I would think you would see a pretty good split of UF and FSU fans. I don't see the so called home field advantage for Florida but this is my perspective as an outsider who has never been.

It's not a home field advantage for either school, just a shorter drive from Gainesville. South Ga and North Florida are pretty much the same. Jax has huge alumni assoc. for both schools.
Moving the game would really downgrade the atmosphere.
Not too mention the ill will brought to the SSI, Amelia, Jax area; the game is too important to the economy. And it's great where it is.

Those who want it moved , really just don't get it .. And those who claim it's a 50/50. Needs to expand their group of friends , because I guaranteed it's well over 95% to keep it in Jax.

Yeah anyone claiming their friends are '50/50' on moving it is either lying out their arse or have a sample size of like 2 people.

Also keep in mind that this game serves as "home" game for the UGA supporters south of Macon. Georgia's a big state and Athens is not that accessible to folks in south Ga.

HOME & HOME!!! NOBODY can tell me a 4+ hr. drive from Athens IS THE SAME as a 1 hr. drive from Gainesville! It's basically a "Home" game for the Swamp Rats.

Florida takes a 2 hour bus ride. Georgia's team flies an hour and takes a 1 one hour bus ride. It is the same thing for the teams.

Now the fans: Jacksonville is the closest big city to the border. Florida fans have to drive from as far as Miami, while Georgia fans drive as far as Atlanta. Essentially the exact same thing.

The only argument a fan of Georgia really has is that it screws over the students having to drive from Athens.

After living in Jacksonville, I would hardly call it a "home" game. Perhaps you would like Valdosta instead?

Nope - I'ld love a Home/Home! Always have/always will.

BTW, know how far a plane can go in 1 hr.? A HELL OF A LOT FURTHER than a bus on land! So, while time might be close, DISTANCE is a whole different ballgame.

Why don't they do a 3 year rotation?

@UGA, @UF, @Jacksonville

Seems like everyone wins

How exactly does that work out? The @Jax would mean 2 consecutive Home games for somebody.
