WLOCP is awesome. Only people I've heard say they wanted it moved from either side are those that have never attended. It is hard to explain to the uninitiated.

you dont like the iron bowl as a home and home?
I like the Iron Bowl any way I can get it. I prefer "neutral" site in the state with "50/50" split. 50/50 split home and home would also be OK.

I'd say split among them for home and home vs. Jax is 50-50.
50% have experienced frat beach
50% have not.
It would be much more convenient to have some home and home, but that rivalry and setting is too magnificent to change. Frat beach and the hungover drive to Jacksonville from St Simons was 3 of the top 6 game experiences when i went to school at UGA. Don't go changin

what city in alabama could host the game? and for that reason if one can what city in alabama is better than being on campus. i dont mean to be rude but i really dont know of one.

Yeah, Jacksonville isn't great normally, but that is why you spend the long weekend at the Georgia coast, Amelia Island, or Jacksonville beaches. The tailgating outside the stadium is superb and a lot of fun watching all the various iterations of "dick-measuring" contests. I am too old for the Landing. I also like the 50/50 split in the stadium. I was at the game in 2007 and all I can say is I don't think I will ever have as much fun at a game as I did that one. Damn, the UF fans were pissed off after that one.
Yeah, it can make the home schedule somewhat bleak in some years, but I still like it better there than a home and home. It is just the overall festival atmosphere being around Halloween as well.

There isn't one.

B'ham currently. If Iron Bowl didn't leave, the stadium would have been updated through the years.
Being on campus is great, and no other city is going to beat that if that is the only criteria. The "equal" amounts of fans at the B'ham Iron Bowls made the game great, not the location.

I am in the minority on this issue among Bama fans.

maybe they love the game and the atmosphere, but Jacksonville blows

That stadium was dying even with the Iron Bowl there. Sure having it leave might have accelerated the process, but trusting Birmingham to spend money wisely is a fools position

Where in Birmingham would they play? I've been to birmingham. Nothing really stood out. What about the city would make it better than being on campus?

last time i was in bham was over 10 years ago and that place looked like a dump. Have they revitalized it?

No
They took out the upper decks and put down turf. It is still in the ghetto, and it still sucks.

Keep it in JAX.
Most UGA fans want to keep the game there, especially now that they are winning games against UF. When Spurrier and Urban were dominating them, I did hear complaints about it being a home field advantage for UF.

It's the 15,000 students partying at Frat Beach on St. Simon's Island starting on Thursday thru Fri. night. The 1000 UGA & UF Alumni that party & play in the 2 day, 4 course GA-Fla Alumni Charity Tournament on Thur-Fri on Jekyll Island. The ten's of thousands of UGA fans who take over every condo & every beach on St. Simon's, Jekyll, Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach, Sea Island etc...etc... starting on Tue. of game week....
Partying in RV City that opens up Sun. before game week. Nightly huge parties at Jacksonville Landing. The 100's of UGA fans who line Airport Rd. on Thur. afternoon to party, cheer & welcome the team to Jax. as the team buses leave the Airport. The massive tailgating scene on gameday on the banks of the St. Johns river with 50,000 UGA fans & 50,000 Fla fans partying & jawing at each other...
I could go on but to paraphrase a famous quote the great Larry Munson... I think you "Get The Picture"...

I think this question has become much easier to answer now that Muschamp has lost three in a row in JAX.
I'm sure there was a lot more unfavorable opinions when Florida had won 18 of the last 21 there.
