UVA wins lot of games because Bennett is a good coach. But they benefit in league games, particularly road games, because the ACC refs allow his team to get away with holding, grabbing, bumping and moving screens.

UNC would never be anything better than middle tier. We are well aware of this fact.
We all know it but we need the SEC for our athletic dollars and to continue supporting our 28 teams. Plus we need $$ to keep our basketball program elite.
Nobody wants to go to the BIG other than our college a...

UNC fans are well aware of our issues with Ga Tech. It's a riddle that can't be solved. (until this year hopefully).
UNC is the only team that has defeated 5 P5 programs (all by 10+ pts) this season and our strength of schedule is ranked #13....

UNC is a solid team this season, with major improvement to the defense. Last season was up and down due to our offense having to win in shoot outs due to the defense providing no resistance.
The odds are that UNC will slip up on one or two of its remaining games. My goal is to get to the ACCCG...

Miami does not fit BIG profile - private school and non AAU member.
Ga Tech, on the other hand, would be a perfect fit for the BIG for all reasons, including it's location in the heart of the South.

David Hood, a Clemson beat writer, posted a lengthy post on tigernet.com pouring cold water on all the rumors. He said Clemson does NOT have an invite from any other league and nothing is imminent. The meeting of the BOT at Clemson scheduled for Oct is a regular meeting, scheduling some time ago. ...

I doubt if the latest rumors are true but the 4 schools discussed which are headed to the SEC are:
UNC
Clemson
FSU
UVA
The think the ACC survives, similar to the Big 12 (but with better academics). Could add Tulane, UCF et al to replace the 4 losses....

I love the Grove but it definitely helps to know people to hang out in their tents and enjoy their food and drinks. Otherwise, to visitors it can feel claustrophobic.
