Dillon Day is a victim of an SEC office that favors Alabama and LSU. If this happens against USCe, it's not even an issue.

LSU ended Zack Smith's career with two illegal helmet to helmet hits. One was by a WR and the other on special teams. After the second one, he was done. Both were intentional and both got enduring applause from LSU fans. The Mosely hit on Holloway last year was of the same ilk. None of those drew flags and none were punished. That's how careers more often get ended, not by stepping on players. Notice I said "stepping", not "stomping". For stomping, see Albert Haynesworth video.

Excuse the spelling error during my rant. I was spewing all of that while driving, and this board did not have my undivided attention. First off, I have very much so been a fan of MSU for many years. I have also attended the University for four years and received my degree from there, so your sidewalk fan comment is just wrong (who the hell chooses State to be a sidewalk fan of anyways).

Also, I agree with your first part. I bet Keenum does like knowing that there are some fans who agree with the decision and have more interests in the school than just its athletics. But once again, why did your letter need to come through this website? It's strictly for attention and to "prove" to everyone on the rant how intellect you are. It's as if you are trying to show everyone you have broader horizons than football. Got it. Good for you. So do many of the other ranters.

Do you not see your arrogance? You did it again with your reply. You not just felt the need to explain, but you wanted so bad to let me know that you have "inside jokes between Keenum" whatever that means. Bottom line is this, you're an arrogant, over-apologists and are here looking for attention.

Congrats.

Fortunately for me, I don't seek the approval of people on the internet. Especially the rant.

It's a lost cause. He just wants the attention and will only address the posts that he deems fit. It's pathetic really.

To be fair, this is a small problem with society. But it is a problem.

Ronald Reagan once said "the man who agrees with me 80 percent of the time is not my enemy." If we would consider this, it would make the world a better place.

I disagree with what seems to be an overwhelming majority of MSU fans on this particular matter. I'm a huge fan of Dak Prescott - I even think he has a shot at the Heisman/SEC Player of the Year, I agree that the next two games could be a catalyst for a special season. But I'm not a fan of Dillon Day's actions Saturday night - and I am disappointed that it is even being talked about instead of a great win in a hostile environment.

But that's life nowadays. If you don't agree with me 100% of the time, you are my enemy. You've seen how this thread is going. Despite a 12:1 Upvote:Downvote ratio, there have been lots of vile comments from MSU fans toward me. They are even calling for my banning on tGrindrant, because I disagree with the majority on this one issue.

If you think I am pandering to people I will never know on a message board, go check out the Political Talk board - where I spend most of my time on TD. I can guarantee you that I'm not here to make friends. But I'm not here to make enemies, either.

And if you are bothered by words strung together in a coherent way, with proper subject-verb agreement (these are called sentences), then I'm sorry. You can tell a lot about someone by how they write. You correctly pointed out that I am educated - I have a terminal degree in my field. I refuse to believe that anyone that would mistake write for right has ever been in a class outside Jones County Junior College.

No you don't. None of us condone "stomping" another player. I don't think you've seen one MSU fan on here say that those type of actions are ok.

No ones trying to make "enemies". You take yourself way to seriously. People are bitching about the way you are going about whatever point you are trying to make.

Again, it doesn't have anything to do with disagreeing with you about this issue. It's because you're acting like a bitch and pointing out the fact that you know the president of MSU. Why exactly did you feel the need to point that out on a message board?

As for the comments bout CLM bitching to the media about this POS, do understand that he was simply responding to a question about those 2 plays in particular, and again, at his presser yesterday he was asked again by the press. His comments were short & to the point. I think it's safe to say that it's Day's reputation as a dirty player that has lit this particular fire. As well, it's highly doubtful that he's done this only 3 times & got caught all 3 times. Just as one of our former governors did not steal once & get caught once, Day has a reputation for this going back to his highschool days. He is the problem, not CLM or LSU fans in general. As for the subtle swipe at baseball coach PM, he was simply responding in anger at having a 90 mph + fastball thrown behind the head of one of his players & the M.State pitcher laughing about it.

I haven't brought up anything about Les Miles, or the baseball incident, and I don't really think they have anything to do with what happened.

My only disagreement with this whole thing is people talking about Day like they are high and mighty when everyone in the league has players like this on their team and the hypocrisy surrounding the subject.

The fans bitching about it are one thing, but I don't really have any ill will or feelings toward LSU.

You can't be serious?

Continue to ignore the legitimacy of the body of my post though.

I don't realistically believe you have any defense for bringing up your "personal" relationship with the president or your holier than thou mentality toward the rest of our fan base.

Les has also been the only SEC coach who openly bitches about and says we should ban our cowbells, so there's that.

It's just the culture down there man no denying it..

There will always be those who defend the indefensible. There will always be those who are perfectly comfortable with situational ethics. Generally, this applies to all of us in one way or another at some point. We see what we want to see. The real danger is when people collectively become so blinded, that it becomes the norm for their "culture". There is no real evidence that this is the case with the Mississippi State football program. That's why it's wisest to just condemn it, and move on. No need to celebrate it. Next thing you know, you'll have a program with thousands of Updyke-types who lose all semblance of what is important or valuable in life.
