I'd probably put the following coordinators at a minimum equal level:

Malzahn
Muschamp
Enos
Mullen

Fair. While we've seen many coordinators make the leap to HC jsut to crash and burn, we've seen lots of coordinators have a lot of success too.

Given how bright of an XOs guy he is and his age. I'd take him with zero experience to run a program over everyone in the SEC not named Saban, and maybe Mullen.

Which underwhelming clown who's done less with more is that much more appealing? This thread is as much about how good DA is as it is how bad our HCs are, after Saban.

Runs a high speed gimmicky offense with elite talent, good, but not better.

Muschamp

Always had much more talent at UT and UF, DA did way more at Wisc, no way.

I'll give you this one.

Mullen is a good coach, would you take him over DA if you had to build a team from scratch?
Everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

I'll take a coach with years of SEC HC experience any day over a coordinator.

I hope I never see the Alabama program in a position where they are reduced to having to go the Dubose/Shula route ever again.

Yes, he has a great mind for defensive scheme. I would have to put him behind Mullen just because we have no clue how would handle the administrative side of a head coaching position. That being said I think he will be a head coach someday, and a damn good one.

What happened at A&M? 22 points in the fourth.

I'm one of those that think Aranda has the potential to be the next elite coach, btw.

Then why wouldn't you hire him over Coach O?

Auburn averaged 5.17 YPP, didn't score a TD and scored 18 pts vs an LSU defense on the road. In a September game against a coordinator with a new scheme in his first road game.

If that is your worst game of the season then I'd be ok with that.

This was Gus still trying to run the Offense he ran against Clemson/A&M . White averaged 12.5 yards per completion without having a deep threat. LSU was good at stopping the run, but when they played a decent passer they showed their weakness.

I agree that Aranda is one of the best coaches in the sec, there's not doubt in that. However, I have no trust in Alleva recognizing this in time.

Yes, clearly the dominance against the heisman trophy winner in the bowl game shows just how inadequate lsu was against a competent passer..
