Don't try to reason with him. He just hates Zo.

Has to be the case. I just honestly cannot fathom why you would want to fire him at this point. The guy is a good coach and has had success at multiple schools. He is arguably the 4th best coach in the SEC behind Donovan, Calipari, and Pearl!!

I will make any bet you want that he will be fired within 24 months of today.

1 tourney in 6 years. Will be 1/7 after next year.

Piss poor recruiter as well.

Just a disaster for VOLS.

He may be the 4th best coach in the league. Not saying much when mental midgets like Frank Haith, Johnny Jones, Rick Ray, etc. are walking the sidelines in this league.

My guess is he either got a huge raise/extension or Marquette went with Wojo/Bigger Name.

I'm all meh over Coach K's coaching tree. Maybe bitter. But definitely meh, too.

Very few people want to fire him and even those who signed the petition were perfectly happy with the tourney run. And since Pearl's been out of the game - I'm putting Martin at 3rd (his winning percentage is 3rd in the conference).

shite part of me was wondering if I/we were being to harsh on Frank Haith...apparently not.

Zo improves every year with a Sweet 16 most recently and people want him fired.

Haith gets noticably worse every year with an NIT flop most recently...Mizzou fans should be rioting in the streets apparently.

He's including Mo State which is in a mid-major 1 bid (typically) conference

Martin isn't good enough to win, but it's probably better to fire him after a year or two iwhen his performance merits it. If he leaves now UT will look like the bad guys.

He's not a great coach. He's not a bad coach. His teams play defense, which is more than can be said for our coach. He's a solid recruiter.

It's always horrible until the next guy comes in and is worse. Not that we have any experience with that or anything.

If Frank Haith was the head coach at Tennessee I would have passed the rioting stage long ago.

Not sure how he survived this season.

Yr 1-Great regular season, LOL Norfolk State
Yr 2-Underperforming regular season, Another First Round Flameout
Yr 3-Bed completely shite

Not exactly looking good, especially considering how bad his track record is overall.

Cuonzo as a head coach

Missouri State:
Year 1: 11-20 (3-15)
Year 2: 24-12 (8-10) CIT Champions
Year 3: 26-9 (15-3) NIT 2nd Round

Tennessee:
Year 1: 19-15 (10-6) NIT 2nd Round
Year 2: 20-13 (11-7) NIT 1st Round
Year 3: 24-13 (11-7) NCAA Sweet Sixteen

FIRE THAT MAN!! His teams have only improved every year that he has been a head coach...preposterous!

Haith is unquestionably awful and those who don't see that are not paying close enough attention or stupid.

His 3 years at Mo State:

11-20
24-12
26-9

His 3 years at Tennessee:
19-15
20-13
24-13

A lot of teams can't reload like Kentucky or Duke can. Florida went to 2 straight NIT's after winning 2 straight championships. He is a young coach and needs time to build the program.

A lot of Tennessee fans seem to forget the backcourt Pearl had when he stepped into the Tennessee job. He had a NBA PG and one of the all time great shooters in SEC history.

He isn't Bruce Pearl, which is ultimately the issue.

THIS. Be careful what you wish for.

I was quite literally ecstatic when Anderson left Mizzou...I was sick of his shite. I still am, however, I didn't think we'd replace him with someone even worse.

The thing is, he left Missouri State when the getting was good and should have done the same here.

There is a 0% percent chance that trend continues next year. The talent will be worse (assuming Stokes leaves) than year 1. He does not know how to recruit at this level and his staff is laughably awful.

Martin underachieved this year. No question about it. And it's not like he is being fired, either.

You either need to become a fan of a different school for basketball, or temper your expectations. After 3 years of improvement, a fallback season is not unheard of. It's not all a straight rise to the top

Pearl brought in Wayne Chism, JP Prince, Duke Crews, Tyler Smith and Ramar Smith in his first 20 months on the job.

Yes, he benefitted from 3 years of Lofton (as anyone would) but he also added a ton of talent around him very quickly.
