Martin's recruiting class is not that bad, had it landed Looney it would have been one of the better ones in the conference but as it stands it's far from terrible.

I have no problem with UT fans expecting more. I don't know if Zo is capable of getting them there, but if they're not, I accept them expecting more. Pearl had them at a high level. I only hope be does the same for AU. Any true fan of college BB should want the best for their team. I get so annoyed at "fans" who accept mediocrity because their school is a "football" school. Plenty of schools have proven you can excel at both.
(Same reason I support the UA fans who wanted their coach gone, but I suspect he will have Alabama better than expected.)
Rage on UT fans. It's your team. Expect what UF, Michigan, etc get to enjoy.

Unfortunately, Martin is doing just enough to not get fired and then actually parlays this Marquette offer into a raise.
I know that the Tennessee program is not on the first tier (UK, KU, NC, Duke, Michigan, etc.), but I do expect to make the NCAA each year and make it out of the first round at least every other year with an occasional run into the S16 or EE.
Anything short of that is a failure for the season.
You have to remember, it is not just Bruce Pearl who was 6 for 6 on the NCAA tourney, even Jerry Green did it four times.

Michigan is not a first tier program
Michigan State is ahead of them, and they are probably 2nd tier along with Louisville and syracuse type schools.
Michigan is probably 3rd tier at best

I rarely agree with that prick on anything but he knows a hell of a lot more about this kind of stuff than espn does. He was saying all day yesterday that Marquette's top 2 were Howland and Wojo even though espn kept saying Martin had been offered.
And what do you know, Cuonzo is staying at UT now.
