You gotta feel sorry for anyone too stupid to realize that "Coach" is a professional title, like Doctor, General, Admiral, Reverend, etc.

Could you imagine a DA going up to George Patton and saying "Hey Patton!"

Sometimes it's good to think a little bit before you post.
Then why are yall the only fanbase that does it as a whole?

Like I said we have our weird deals as a fanbase too. But the idol coach worship is yalls

Like the relationship between the convict who drops the soap bar in the prison shower … and the one who picks it up?

did he mention anything about lsu fan's obsession with saban being unhealthy?
As a LSU I agree with this. They are a lot of LSU fans that are obsessed with Saban

You dont think the man that created college baseball, won LSU 5 national titles, was the AD during our FIRST FOOTBALL TITLE IN ALMOST 50 YEARS, and was the AD over the resurgence of both LSU football and basketball is that big? Agree to disagree i guess

Skip is a legend in the baseball world. I have met the man and bow down at his feet.

But football will always be king.

Baton Rouge in the early 90s was a depressing place because the football team sucked balls. Baseball kept us going but the economy downright suffered on football game days with Curley packing in a whopping 55k.

Mark Emmert hired Saban. Bertman hired Miles and annointed Smoke to succeed him. The basketball team has been through a lot of coaches. None of those hires have endeared people to Skip's talents as AD.

His accomplishments on the diamond are second to none but it's BASEBALL so try to keep some perspective, dude.

Our obsessions don't cause us to poison trees, jump boot first into a crowd, put our balls in someone's passed out face or brag about wrongholing construction work on other team's stadiums.

In short, our fans don't make as many headlines as Bama's fans do over and over and over again.

My perspective on the situation is Skip Bertman in baton rouge is huge. In the 90s, he was the figure in BR. I understand baseball holds no candle to football. I only brought him up because I truly believe Bama is unique in the SEC with the coach idol/worship behavior.
