ATPB was like a 3 month melt, it captivated the country.

That won the trophy for length. The biggest meltdown based on rage has to be when the NCAA cleared Auburn and Cam of any wrongdoings.

ATPB was easily the largest.. and the swings back and forth was amazing. That's probably one of the best threads in the history of the internet.. literally.

Cam Newton and 1/9 easily the two biggest meltdowns/butthurts ever in the history of the SECRant.

I can't think of anything else that even comes close to these two.

What Tiger fan went to the Bama game? You sure it wasn't you? Metry.

Well, you obviously have not been around long enough. If you are wanting the all time LSU melt then 1/9 doesn't hold a candle to Nick Saban leaving for the dolphins. 1/9 doesn't even come close

A Big 12 champion with a much stronger SOS, already ranked 2nd or 3rd in most polls - DROPS in the polls from 2nd or 3rd to 5th or 6th AFTER beating former #1 OU for the conference championship ???? And a team who finished 3rd in their conference goes ahead of OSU.
I will never understand how that farce was allowed to happen.

Maybe the voters figured Oklahoma State wouldn't skulldrag LSU around the field in the title game.

This was a huge melt that I remember, and I think it's still a good one. It matches the eye test vs the resume pretty well, and in this case the eye test took the cake. I said before I didn't think Bama deserved to be in the game, but they took advantage when given the opportunity, and you can't fault them for that.

As I've said before, if Oklahoma State's uniforms said Oklahoma or Texas, Bama isn't in that game. That was the problem with the system (and still will be in the playoff. Teams like OSU/Bama/LSU/UF/FSU/USC/OU etc will all have a name brand advantage and that's just part of it)

I'd probably say there was the first and only "super melt" which combined the following events:

2010 - Cam's pay-for-play saga; 28-27; Michael Dyer; Auburn's BCSNCG
2011 - HB7; 9-6; 21-0; Petrino's escapades

It's hard for me to think about the 2010 and 2011 seasons in general, but it's easier to think about the two because I feel as if those two seasons were so intertwined.

You can tell he still thinks about that game every day.

Metry is the poster child for the obsessed, jealous fan. He can not restrin himself when it comes to Bama.

bama fans & meltdowns go hand in hand..not even close. There is only one school notoriously known for grown men shedding actual tears after 18-22 yr old men don't live up to their expectations.

Man, I remember lurking and not even logging in. On top of the BP melt was the fact that LSU had just stomped Pig arse in Tiger Stadium too.

Simultaneously, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, and LSU fans were fully melting (some more than others)

Bama was the better team in 2011. We make one of those field goals and we win both of those games. We beat ourselves in the first game.

Les made his arse quit, poor Bobby couldn't contain his melt

I still remember some Arky poster doubling down and calling everyone idiots, tards etc. for thinking Petrino would be fired. Man I wish I remembered who it was, I didn't pay attention to handles back then.
