Nice angle. Still no good.
The ball went directly over the uprights.. confirmed by numerous angles. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean it was good.
No way to determine if the ball would have hit the goal post directly, glanced out, or glanced in. IMO, it looked like the latter.

LSU and Georgia played in the 2011 SECCG. They were the 1st place and 2nd place SEC teams.
What purpose it served in even PLAYING the game though, is beyond comprehension.
Hate to break it to you but that is irrelevant as far as the BCS goes...it's their job to pit #1 and #2 and that is what they did....
Correct. But here's how they did their 'job':
Seven Harris voters ranked Oklahoma State lower than fourth. Former Fresno State athletic director Scott Johnson, former Cal quarterback Craig Morton, former Kentucky center Jeff Van Note and Albuquerque (N.M.) Journal reporter Rick Wright had the Cowboys ranked fifth. Former Notre Dame wide receiver Derrick Mayes, former Hawaii coach Bob Wagner and former Iowa sports information director George Wine ranked Oklahoma State sixth.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So they voted how they felt. Kudos to them for not toeing the ESPN company line that OSU was solidly #3.

I know I'm not allowed to do this, but I legit felt bad for Vol fans after that fumble against UGA. I have always thought that was one of the most illogical rules in CFB (fumble through endzone resulting in a turnover). It should be just like a fumble that goes out of bounds. If no one recovers, possession should return to the offense. It has helped Bama and hurt Bama, but it's still an illogical rule. UT was on the brink of returning to relevancy if they had won that game.

I did not start this thread, nor did I express any lies. All I have done is reply to posts with actual black and white facts with links and excerpts from other printed materials.
I realize this was 3 years ago. There is no point in 'melting' or 'being mad bruh' or 'trolling'.
But simply stating events that ACTUALLY HAPPENED is not 'being mad', it's well - just that - stating what happened.
At the time of the Dec 2011 BCS vote, of course I was mad. But not at Alabama. It was not their fault.
But what was beyond any normal comprhension is that the wrong team was sent to the Superdome. Yes, they may have been deserving of the '2nd best team', but SO WAS OKLAHAOMA STATE.
The BCS DID have a system.
And AT LEAST 7 BCS voters failed the system.

So?
SOOOO ???
Let me get this straight. If ALABAMA had been previously ranked 3rd the week before winning their conference championship (convincingly), but then at leat 7 BCS voters DROPPED them from 3rd to FIFTH OR SIXTH, you'd be ok with that...
?????????????????????????????????????????????

I wouldn't go that far. They were 1-1 vs. LSU that year and LSU won at Bama, not a neutral site revenge game. Just sayin.

Doesn't matter either way. The ball has to go between the uprights, not overtop one of them.

And WHY do you think that is ??? If I were a bama fan I'd be embarrassed that you had to have: Saban begging on national TV, the national media all kneeling in front of Saban pushing for a "redo" or a "do-over", and most sickeningly shameful, the fact that at least 6 BCS human poll voters actually DROPPED Oklahoma State to 5th or 6th after they annihilated Oklahoma for the Big 12 title. How is that even possible ???????
A Big 12 champion with a much stronger SOS, already ranked 2nd or 3rd in most polls - DROPS in the polls from 2nd or 3rd to 5th or 6th AFTER beating former #1 OU for the conference championship ???? And a team who finished 3rd in their conference goes ahead of OSU.
I will never understand how that farce was allowed to happen.
My question: Why even """"""" P L A Y """"""
the 2011 SEC Championship Game ???????????????

And the melt continues. This has got to be the biggest melt on this board. It started from the time it was announced that Bama was going to be in the BCSCG (almost a month before the game was played), and continues today.
