No thanks.

Me, I'd like Lane Kiffin after he's been under Saban a few more years. That ought to piss just the right number of people off.

Losing to Toleso, tech, never beating A&M or state isn't improving

I would take Bert. Gus was pretty much set up for success. He recruited many of the players on the team he won the SEC with. Bert walked into a situation where the players there were recruited to a system that is almost the exact opposite of what he runs. Given time I believe Bert can be very good for Ark.

Bert is the one most likely to survive after a 7-5 season.

None of these coaches have done very good. I will give Butch the edge because he seems to have done the best job recruiting and winning compared to what his current school did before he got there.

Though Bret has done a pretty damned good job of rebuilding too. Keep in mind, Petrino's style of player was almost the polar opposite of Bielema's, and I don't think he exactly put much effort into anything except skill players, and not even those by the end. That little squirm with JLS didn't exactly help bridge the gap. I'd call it a pretty even race between the two, with Bret having a slightly better chance to survive a mediocre season (as you said) because he's done slightly better convincing the fanbase that he's the future.

Bert and butch took over crap shows from scratch
Auburn was 3-9 the year prior to Gus Malzahn being hired, getting blown out by all rivals and struggling to beat Louisiana Monroe.

But had more talent than the other two combined. A slight exaggeration, I grant, but the point I'm making is accurate.

You really think Gus would survive a 6-6 season?

Took a 3-9 team and won a SECC in one of the hardest divisions in CFB

Butch took a 5-7 team and improved a couple games in one of the shittiedt renditions of the SEC East

Bielema. Lesbian butch Jones can't win a game, and the gus bus is running down a hill with no breaks.

The most successful one is on the hot seat, and the other two are talked about as some of the best coaches in the SEC. Wow

Considering the trajectory the teams are on, I would take Bielema. However, I expect Arkansas to take a small step back this year.

exactly, Bielema has us on the right track. He's getting the right type of players in there and its showing. GPA is highest its ever been I can't remember the last time a player got in trouble and that's a good thing. Football team has improved but I too think there may be some growing pain this year do to all the starters we will have to replace but I also think we will finish higher than most predict.

I love the "trending" argument from Arkansas fans. It's been 3 years, one started off at the very bottom at 3-9, while the other started off at the top with 12 wins an SEC championship and a NCG appearance. It ain't exactly hard o "trend" with 3 points on a graph when the very first point is at the far extreme of the graph.

Its year 4 now, both coaches have almost entirely their own rosters, this is when any "trends" actually start to matter.

With all Arkansas lost from last year, if Bert leads them to even the same record and manages to beat Auburn in Jordan-Hare, and if Auburn doesn't improve their record, then okay you now have an actual valid argument that Bert is better

Until then your trending argument is a joke while Gus is still averaging 3 more wins per year than Bert.
