you have not finished outside the top 10 in recruiting the last 4 years, and in that time frame you have recruited 2 5* LBs and a 4* LB, 5 4* DBs, 1 5* DT and 4 4* DTs, 1 5* DE and 4 4* DEs

Don't be a star watcher. Peel back the onion and see what we played with this year on the field. We didn't have a 5* take a meaningful snap this season on defense outside of MA who didn't start much. Most of the defensive 4 stars were lower rated. On of those 5 star LB's was a 5 star athlete who didn't have a committable offer from Auburn when he committed.

DLine
LO 4 star .9313
GW 4 star .9594
BB 2 star .779
DL 3 star .800

LB
KF Composite 247 4 star .9480 rated as a 5 star Yahoo
CM 4 star .9119

DB
JJ 3 star .8805
JM 3 star by Yahoo and unrated by 247
RF 4 star (running back) .8952 not rated as a DB
JH 4 star .9342 coming off knee surgery lost a step

Star
RT 4 star .9109

That is seven 4 stars only one of which was rated high. That is three 3 stars none are highly rated. And a two star which some how managed to keep a highly rated 5 star on the bench.

Of the 4 stars two of them are playing positions they weren't rated to play. Frost and Ford. One of the other 4 stars Hosley showed promise before he hurt his knee last year and was clearly a step slower this year. One of the 3 star DB's was so poorly thought of 247 didn't rate him. Auburn's recruiting rankings are propped up by offensive guys the last several years. Save Monty, Carl and Tre.

Is that how this works? I guess that means Gus will continue to put up 500+ yards on Saban then, since, you know, it's happened a few times.

1.6 million per year.... Goes up to 4 million with the Florida buyout. And he no longer has to worry about the offense anymore.

Can't win the big game, get new coordinator, finish 8-5.......sound familiar?
Looking forward to another winless season in SEC play next year for the barn.

Arkansas fans are melting and laughing now, but wait till Muschamp steals Randy Shannon away. Then, the melt on here will be glorious.

It's cute that you want our coach and we don't want any of yours

He committed career suicide when he became a coach. He should have stuck with being a Frat Star at UGA and opened up a Herschel Walker memorabilia store.

While it was a poorly worded post, what he most likely meant was that the DC paired opposite of his offense has continually been less than favorable. At Auburn, Johnson, Roof and Chizik have all looked below average when they've looked great elsewhere. I didn't follow his career at Tulsa so I can speak to his work there.

I'm just guessing that's what he actually meant. I could be wrong, of course.
