I don't care if you have Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald playing wr you still have mett at qb and he couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat

Will Richty Richt still be coaching? I don't see a problem.

Well if mett had stayed at uga there's a chance he could have been developed into a decent qb. Say what you want about big games but he can develop qbs

How? I'll take the guy that will break every sec passing record this year. I was saying it for metts sake because we seem to be fine at qb and on offense

It is pretty clear that you are talking shite about Mett because he was, at one time, a UGA player.
If you want to have an honest conversation about Mett, we can do that. I see no indications from you that you want to do that, however.

I am perfectly capable of having a reasonable, intelligent conversation about Mett. It is my opinion (and seems to be the consensus of the board) that he wasn't as good as advertised last year and doesn't scare me next year in athens.

OK then, let's go.
1) Given the hype and expectations, it was almost assured that Mett would not live up to them in his first season as LSU's starting QB.
2) That said, Mett looked every bit the part AT HOME (63.9% completion rate at home, with his best game of the year coming against the best team we played).
3) He was clearly nervous and jittery on the road (50.4% completion rate).
Conclusion: In order for Mett to progress in his development as LSU'S QUARTERBACK (not UGA's), he needs to be more consistent and play better on the road. Given that he will have a more experienced supporting cast AND the new offensive weapons I described, his task should be easier. Whether or not he brings his A game to Athens remains to be seen, but I suspect he certainly wants to play well against the team that dismissed him.
Those are my opinions about Mett.

This may not be a good thing.

Zach needs improvement at checks/audibles at the line, which hopefully Coach Cameron can help with. His WR's need to be more serious about improvement and going to next level. I'm glad that during the season they started standing in front of a ball machine to improve their skills but this is something they should have been doing already. Also, the OL should be more consistent this year.

Rightfully so but LSU hasn't had to ride a QB's arm for a while. The primary threat has been the D, ST and the running game. Having solid QB play would be a welcome addition.

Meh, your best accomplishment was a two-loss national title in which you had the same record as us this year with worse losses.
Andre Woodson of UK threw for 40 TDs and 11 ints that year and UK had two receivers in SEC top 10 that year.
Darren McFadden ran for 1830 yards and 16 TDs that year. Two double overtime losses is not as bad as losing within regulation.
The talent in the SEC was much deeper that year which is why the national pundits argued for us over other 1 loss teams. The SEC was simply more competitive that year.
... AND we actually played and won an SEC Championship game to get there. We still did it the right way by winning the conference first.

So was there not suppose to be a 2007 National champion? LSU beat 8 ranked team In 2007 and won the SEC.
No other team had that track record.
Its crazy how disrespected this team is.
