See, those aren't the right reasons. Seeing LSU beaten last year will make y'alls next victory over us all the sweeter.

People who came up watching LSU in the 60s and 70s hate us because Cholly Mac -- a fantastic coach in his own right -- could never beat coach Bryant.

People who came up watching LSU in the 80s and 90s don't really hate us because of our success relative to LSU's in those decades, but rather they simply resent the direction that coaches like Mike Archer, Curley Hallman and Gerry DiNardo took the program. They hated pretty much everything back then and who could really blame them?

People who came up watching LSU in the 2000s hate us because Nick Saban -- a huge breath of fresh air after those dismal 80s and 90s seasons -- left and came to Alabama. Despite Miles's success (and charisma; I really genuinely like Les), some of the more reactionary LSU fans fear it returning to another McClendon-Bryant dynamic.

I think that's way premature, personally. I've always liked LSU and I personally love the competition going on between the two programs. Both have benefited from it in my opinion.

Better than the alternative. A lot of LSU fans genuinely hate Alabama, which kind of pains me. LSU has been my second-favorite program since I was a kid.

I'm sure you meant offense...but it would definitely be nice to have a team close to 03 standard...a great D with a top 30 O. The talent is there and is a reasonable hope. I'm 100 times more hopeful now than after Clemson game when we had 8(?) 3&outs against a so-so D. Really looking forward to Spring game and 2013 season.
