FDWL isn't "Dixie" you numbnuts.

It's a combination of Dixie and the Battle Hymn of the Republic a la Elvis Presley in Hawaii. It's so much more than Dixie and so much better.

Am I wrong in thinking that the mass quantities of OOS students who have no ties to FDWL are the majority of people yelling TSWRA just on ignorance and it being the cool thing to do as a Freshmen?

No. I think this is a huge part of it.

Pussies

You know, for a school and fan base which made a fricking living calling Ole Miss racist during much of the 1990's under Sherrill, y'all sure don't like the school's attempts to distance itself from Confederate imagery.

False.

When I was working at Ole Miss during the O years it was an issue. This is 2007-ish.

I remember articles in the DM about it back then, and I remember the cheerleaders trying to get people to say "R-E-B-E-L-S" instead of TSWRA.

Do you know most or for that matter any of us? I'm not saying none of us said it, but the majority of us did not.

I find this very hard to believe. The KA's worship the confederacy and Robert E Lee like he was Jesus.

Ah.

Well my point still stands.

Any State fan who talks about Ole Miss forgoing it's "Southern Heritage" should fully accept my invitation to wave the confederate flag and sing "The South Will Rise Again" at Bulldogs games. I mean, if it's just "Southern heritage" then surely they wouldn't at all have a problem with doing that, right?

It certainly wasn't as big of an issue, but it most definitely was an issue. You're just going to have to trust me.

Why would do something ignorant and racist like that?

My Fr year in 08 I was yelling it as the band played outside of the Union before a game and some older guys told us it wasn't a good idea. That's the first time I heard anything about it.
