Like he said, he's not some fantastic recruiter, he's actually one of the worst on the staff. But he does have ties with LA high schools and can get our closers in the door.
The LA connection worked out ok for a couple players this year, admittedly not players LSU was after.

He clearly hasn't been to Austin in the past 5 years. Town lost it's soul and is just a mini-Houston now but with worse traffic
