Old Sarge,
Did you see the part about Learfield rewriting Oklahoma's multimedia rights (radio, etc., but not television) in a separate $7.5 million deal from the Fox TV deal?

I guess a more accurate statement would be "cost them the two members that helped finalize the SEC Network and the profits thereof."
Well you could look at it that way or you could look at it this way…
Of the 5 schools that got away from Texas, 4 were AAU at the time and 2 of the 4 are now in the SEC who has been call the non academic conference. Imagine that, 2 academic schools left texas to join the SEC.

Third-tier T-E-L-E-V-I-S-I-O-N rights.
We gave those to ESPN. They're giving us a ridiculous amount of money in return. Why would we want them back?
You crazy, son?

You stupid, son?
The SEC number at 31.2 per includes the network (correct?).
The Big 12 number at 25.6 per DOES NOT include tier-3 television money, which each school keeps for itself.

Where does that leave them, anyway? Texas and...ISU?

This took you 4 pages to get into? Youre slipping

So Oklahoma is getting about half of what Alabama is for their non TV stuff!
Roll Tide!

If you were so egalitarian, why won't you share your radio money with the other SEC teams suckling at the teats? I'm looking at you, Alabama and Kentucky.

I don't think you understand this part very well. You act like the SEC schools do not get added money for their Tier III deals (which they do) and then you are shown how Bama Tier III dwarfs OU Tier III yet you keep forgetting this fact!

So it's going to be more than 31.2 million per? When is the SEC Network money going to be announced?

A TU sip calling someone stupid. Now that's rich.
You have to have a product that sells, son. Y'all's product isn't all that good. You know? I mean, is a major network interested in the B12 product? Nope.

Radio...I've heard of it. It's what happens when the TV screen goes blank but the sound keeps going, right?

If I have the Texas argument in a nutshell it is... if you count all our revenue, and discount a good amount of the SEC's revenue then we make more money then you do.
I see. That's some mighty interesting thinking there. I'll just back away now in case this is some form of insanity that might be contagious.

That's bullshite. These are tiers one two and three television monies ONLY.
Cheese Grits is still Googling for a link that the SEC Network payout isn't part of the 31.2 million payout announced today.

If this was coming from anybody but a Texas fan this might be a worthy comment but since it is a Texas fan calling the kettle black…

Can a Vandy grad run these numbers so we know they are right?
Posted on 5/29/15 at 5:58 pm to Cheese Grits
Well, isn't that what you fools do around here, suck each others' dicks over how equal you are? Lo and behold, Alabama and Kentucky make millions more than their brethren over their multimedia rights.

Don't need to, just need to look at the tax filings for next year which should reflect the full values. I have this feeling that next years numbers will be much higher than 31.2 M
