Have you corrected your original post to match the actual data in the articles you linked?
You can do that yourself. What did you say, Oklahoma was really 5.8 million per year? Well, 25.6 plus 5.8 = 31.4. That's more than the SEC's 31.2 or whatever.

The Big 12 will distribute about $213 million to its 10 schools. Eight will receive $23 million each.
5.8 million less all operating and broadcast expenses
Add in Oklahomas 2-3 mil for 3rd tier and they are at 25.5 total
And that includes radio and signage

So...he's bragging that Texas made more money when it was Texas that cost them two of their members in the first place? Somebody's lips are in a very disgusting place on the steer right now.

So? We have a giant radio network.

That number doesn't include third tier for Big 12, but I presume it does for the SEC.
You presume too much.
schools in the SEC still have Tier 3 deals in addition to SEC deal.
Alabama has one of the richest. They get the $31 million from the SEC plus $16 million in their Tier 3 deal.
Other SEC schools have similar deals. Just not as big as Alabama's.

The University of Alabama is set to sign one of the nation’s most lucrative multimedia rights deals with Learfield Sports worth at least $150 million to $160 million over 10 years.
The extension of a long-term relationship between the Crimson Tide and Learfield will now run through June 30, 2024.
The new financial terms of $15 million to $16 million a year double Alabama’s guarantee previously and put the Tide among the top three schools in multimedia rights revenue behind Texas and Notre Dame.
Alabama decided to keep its contract with Learfield virtually the same, except for the increase in the annual guarantee. The only significant difference is that Learfield will not have rights to Alabama’s third-tier football and basketball games, which now are controlled by the SEC Network.
One of the reasons the deal is so valuable compared to other schools is because Learfield controls several rights that are not typically included in multimedia agreements. Those rights include concessions, pouring rights, isotonic beverage, seat rentals and merchandise, which combined can account for 25 percent to 30 percent of the revenue from the property.
Learfield’s other rights include traditional multimedia inventory like radio, corporate sponsorship, hospitality, print, signage and other advertising.

I understand why some schools get caught up in this nonsense.
Seems I hear plenty when Texas wins a CWS but the crickets chirp for all the other sports. Hoist yourself on your own petard and it gets funny to watch when you bleed out.

When you never win national titles in sports that matter
Matter to who? Who gives a crap what matters to you? It matters to me when LSU wins a Natty in baseball, UK wins a Natty in basketball, and Bama wins a Natty in football. Hell when Mizzou brings in a Wrasslin Natty I will celebrate that too because drinking good booze, eatin good food, and celebrating Natty's means good times for all. Must be sad to be all by yourself. Do you prefer masturbating yourself to a three way with a K State cheerleader and a Baylor fundie?

Cost them more than just 2…
#1 Arkansas
#2 Nebraska
#3 Colorado
#4 Texas A&M
#5 Missouri
Looks more like 5 by my count.

He's just trying to make his conference look better which is his job. That said, no one will take it seriously outside the B12 nor should they. Kinda sad he has to manipulate numbers and cherry pick just to make this comment.

Right. Wasn't thinking. Nebraska's complaints, I knew. The others I hadn't heard much about their motives. I know Arkansas hates Texas, but their fans don't complain nearly as much as the two newbies, probably because they have more distance. I guess a more accurate statement would be "cost them the two members that helped finalize the SEC Network and the profits thereof."

Don't be reasonable. If other fans are reasonable, Vandy fans have no reason to exist. We need a niche, you know.

Several Big 12 schools have their own institutionally branded television programming.

Until we came to the SEC, we were known to many as the most non-gay (is that a word?) university on the planet.
tSECr, however, created a completely opposite tale amongst its braintrust.
Both groups are as misinformed as the day is long.
