Until your A&M, Alabama, Florida admin speak publicly on possible expansion none of this talk matters.

Aside from the MS and AL schools, most of the SEC is above Oklahoma academically. He thinks if they get in the B1G the Sooners will get AAU status. Nebraska should have already sized them up on that score.

The SEC is about making money, adding Clemson/FSU adds absolutely nothing to TV viewership ratings and/or money.
I take it more has him saying Clemson over USCe in the early 90s. Agreed, no matter when on the FSU deal.

Replace Texas with Oklahoma state and it is acceptable....
LSU will play bammer in the SECCG every year

Facts are that we have won far more nat'l titles across the board than clempsun has.
ETA: And we already play them every year and recruit against them. Nothing would really change from our perspective.
The joke'll be on the rest of y'all when you have to deal with them 24/7/365.

Not that I like Tramel at all, but you do know reporters don't write their own headlines right?

Boren is obviously clueless about Oklahoma's academic reputation.

Not to mention Clemson would lose money for everyone. SC isn't that big of a market at the SEC already has the larger school / fan base.
You can talk about titles, history, and culture all you want but we'd all be poorer by adding Clemson and that's what it comes down to.

Well, you heard it. OU fans want it. Guess we have to let them in.
Only 2 problems.
1. Why would the SEC let them in? What additional TV markets will they add?
2. The Oklahoma state government won't let them go anywhere without OSU. The SEC isn't going to let them both in.

This is incorrect. Always has been. Both teams have been in different conferences before the state has nothing to do with it.
