Was just on Finebaum.
He's a beat reporter for The Oklahoman. He says that the vast majority of Sooner fans are done with the Big 12 and want the university to cut all ties with the conference and move the team to the SEC.

As none of those fans are David Boren, this amounts to a large nothingburger.
It took the bullshite from the Longhorn Network in order for the Board of Regents to reach their breaking point and authorize Loftin to explore changing conferences.

I don't think the OU Administration wants the SEC, and Bob Stoops damn sure doesn't think much of the SEC either.

The SEC messed up its expansion plans.
Ideally, SEC should have added Clemson and Florida St at some point.

Grass roots efforts by the faithful in College Station also affected the response otherwise TAMU would be in the PAC
The point being, if enough fans want something, and vote with their donor dollars, they can affect change. The question would be is if enough grass roots folks for OU will make the effort to make their feelings known to the administration.

The SEC does not thinks highly of Bob Stoops. He and his team are just refugees from the B-12, and he has single handedly done his best to poison any welcome Oklahoma might get.
Screw refugee Oklahoma, their refugee fans, their refugee coaches, their refugee cheating team. They are not Southern and we have quite enough refugees already. If we need anything, we should stick to more south-east. I say build a wall and change the laws to prevent this idle unwashed Okie from muskogee crowd from swarming over the border.

This is stupid. The SEC is about making money, adding Clemson/FSU adds absolutely nothing to TV viewership ratings and/or money.
I'd be stoked if we could grab Texas/Oklahoma and have a true East/West split. All the traditional big 6 rivalries would be kept in place /renewed and geographically the drives would be more reasonable for everyone

Their fans have been wanting it for some time. Boren wants to join the Big 10 because of his feelings that OU is an academic school that doesn't fit with the SEC.
