I mean you listed off his 2 NBA guys when Brown and Harper were the soul of those teams and much more valuable college players.

What is the comparison with AU 3 point shooting in 2019 vs Bama this year? Numbers and % ? How many 2nd chance possessions each team had ?

Points scored for each ?

That would fit his style. Long way from home.

That’s a bummer. Hate that for us. Hope the kid gets healthy and plays somewhere. He was our best shooter by a mile. We will miss him.

We will be ok regarding Powell in terms of having good players to play at the 2 and 3. But this stings in that he was fun to watch, could have provided depth at the 1, and transfers always make the Auburn fan in me believe the sky is falling.

AU likes the 3, but it is force by a penetrating PG and pushing to ball out for the open 3. Two different styles.

I’m convinced you are just shooting from the hip. Oats has stated numerous times that he doesn’t want his guys to shoot a three until the ball touches the paint in a possession. If anything he’s more of a drive and kick guy than Bruce, which is saying a lot.

He clearly is. He’s so off the mark with some of these posts.

The words rats and sinking ship come to mind.

Powell probably sees what Cooper (minus the NBA 1st round draft pick money) sees and wants out while the gettin is good. He sees that the in state rival Alabama's head coach owns his head coach head to head and that he probably won't win a conference championship ring having to play Alabama and Arkansas twice the next 2 or 3 years. He might not be able to play in the NCAA tournament again next season when the NCAA is finished handing out penalties.

He probably wants to avoid all that

Not sure Okeke was AUs best player the final 4 year.
He definitely was, especially in the NCAAT.

2018-2019 Auburn shot 30 3s per game.

2020-2021 Alabama is shooting 30.1 3s per game.

By all means though, keep digging.

AU made the 3 at about 4% higher rate than Bama and was 4th in the Country in 3 point shooting. They still had over 450 Offensive rebounds. Which was the original question. You keep digging.

Sure, but if you watch them the reality is the ball is never passed inside the arc most of the time,

38.1% vs. 35.5%, so no.

21st, so no.

18-19 Auburn: 9.9 offensive rebounds per game.

20-21 Alabama: 10.1 offensive rebounds per game.

You are impressively bad at this.

Irons is shooting out his arse in this thread. And as per his usual, he doubled down on idiocy a few times too.

Ok, let's keep digging.

2018-19 Auburn
34.2 rebounds per game, 11.4 offensive.
6th in the SEC in offensive rebounds per game.
11th in the SEC in total rebounds per game.

2020-21 Alabama
40.3 rebounds per game, 12.0 offensive.
6th in the SEC in offensive rebounds per game.
1st in the SEC in total rebounds per game.

Auburn on the season was 37.7% from 3, Alabama is currently sitting at 35.5% - a difference of 2.2%. More interestingly, 2018-19 Auburn averaged 11.4 made 3s on 30.1 attempts per game. Alabama in 2020-21 is averaging 10.7 mad 3s on 30.1 attempts per game.

On average this season's Alabama team has a whopping 0.7 more offensive rebound chances off missed 3s than Auburn did in 2018-19 and amazingly averages 0.6 more offensive rebounds per game than 2018-19 Auburn.

Auburn did indeed have 456 offensive rebounds in 40 total games played. Alabama's played 27 games thus far. Even if they were to win both the SEC tourney and national title, they'll only play 35 games. They won't match that 456 total, so congrats I guess?

Actual facts don't lie. Side by side both teams are statistical mirror images with Auburn being an ever so slightly better 3 point shooting team and Alabama being an ever so slightly better rebounding team.

So, that's a lot of digging. Is your hole deep enough now? Can we start throwing the dirt in on top of you or would you like to be buried deeper?
