If you guys lose him and Cooper after this year that's gonna sting, isn't it? I know Cooper was expected to probably leave, but Powell was a piece to build around.

No idea. I'd ask an insider if we had one.

I think even the “insiders” were as caught off guard as us pions. It’s definitely a big kick in the nuts.

The only thing that makes any sense is that he didn’t like that they wouldn’t clear him medically to play. I have no idea though. Atleast there’s time to get someone else in.

I was about to ask if it could have anything to do with the injury but the only thing that seems to make sense is that were too careful cause we know they didn't rush him back.

Unless there was something that went wrong in the recovery time

It sucks, bro.

I could see him going to Kentucky or Louisville now.

I have a VIP sub to 24/7 and it took everybody by surprise. Interesting that Rupps Rafter folks have talked about it for a good while. Don't reckon Calipussy would tamper, do you?

Probably didn’t like the way Auburn handled his injury. I imagine he probably felt like he could come back sooner and Auburn kept saying no. Cant blame the school tho, they were doing what they thought was in his best interest.

If Oats wants to reach out the Kid can shoot.

Just looked and the Kid is from the Louisville area of Kentucky..... Could possibly just transfer back home

Some think it might be an indication that Cooper and Flanigan are returning next year. That would make Powell a sub on that roster. Take it with a grain of salt.

Powell would be starting next year regardless.

Yep, that wouldn't make any sense. You could easily start Powell, Cooper and Flanigan together.

Where the hell would Allen Flanigan be going?

At one point this season he was projected as a first rounder. He faded at the end of the season.

No, Cooper is gone and Flannigan will no doubt be back. Kid probably got homesick while recovering from a pretty severe concussion.

He’s an elite shooter. He’s definitely in when he’s on a team that lacks shooting.

Smart for the kid to enter the portal. It allows him to be recruited again and if things do not turn out the way he likes it, he can always pull out. I think it will become more common the second line players in the future.
