So let me get this straight, you would believe that someone not present at the robery that included 4 others would not show if they supplied the gun and getaway car? yeah that makes sense. OK I'll loan you my car and gun but don't tell them I loaned it to you and I want a cut. Seriously think people this isn't hard it isn't rocket science.

That's really wierd considering Alabama is an "open carry" state. It's legal to carry a loaded pistol strapped to your hip if it isnt concealed.........but it has to be unloaded if it is in your car?

Politicians baffle me.

I don't want to sound like a know it all or anything, but if you have purchased any kind of gun with a paper trail, then you should go ahead and consider it registered. The bottom line is that the serial number can always be traced back to the purchaser that filled out the paperwork. Doesn't matter if it's officially " registered".

You can thank incrementalist gun control for that one. By the way, the NRA supported this. So frick them.

Oh, I don't know. He's not nearly as dumb as the four idiots who robbed a trailer and were clueless enough to think they'd get away with it.

You purchased from a private individual, no FFL will sell to anyone under the age of 21, if they do they are idiots as the feds look for reasons to shut down gun shops. The only exceptions I'm aware of to get a CCP under the age of 21, since technically by federal law you can't own a handgun, is if you are former military or police.
If I am not mistaken, a few years ago if you knew someone at the sheriff's office, you could get a permit. Even now, you can get a permit at 19 BUT it has to be approved by the sheriff. Im pretty sure that they have to know your life is in danger to even get one and from what I understand, the chances of even getting one is very very slim.

sorry, but guns aren't "registered" to anybody

This . In Alabama there is no gun registration. Closest thing there is is on the ccw form and those are voluntary. The registration part alone makes this whole story bull shite.

You dont think that if a pistol was involved in a crime they could not trace the serial number to the place it was purchased and who purchased it?

Hmm...

And since this entire farce of being registered would even be close to true, it was to his supposed GF.

How would that implicate Dyer?

"Hey Mike, we know this pistol is registered (HAHAHAHA) to your girlfriend. Your going to jail now."

Dumbass.

You guys are seriously naive. If you don't think that paperwork=registration, you're lying to yourselves. And it would potentially implicate dyer in several ways, but I don't think it's necessary to spell out the obvious. But I suppose they could just say that they sold them the gun, which would still be a crime since they were minors iirc.

Wow, it seems like the Necks have given up on the Cam stuff and have moved on to next topic on their hate list. Does this mean that we can now display the crystal ball without having a hater try to piss on it.

Be that as it may. The only thing I'm debating is the whole registration thing.

And again, if you bought a firearms via NICS, then consider your gun "registered". It shouldn't be that way, but it is.

NICS is just a background check. The 4473 form is the one that FFL dealers have to keep records of that list your information and the gun that you purchased. On the bright side, those records can be disposed of after 20 yrs.
