I said follow and root for. I am an Auburn fan year round. I follow Iowa closely during the season and root for them to win but do not follow them in the offseason. Point to a post where I said I was a fan.

Iowa doesn't usually recruit against OSU, UM, and PSU. Same as Arkansas, both programs recruit guys that are under the radar of the big boys in the conference with occasional steals.

When was the last time Iowa had a top-50 class? Arkansas has NEVER had a class rated outside the top-50 and you're saying we recruit about the same? You *might* have an argument that Iowa produces better NFL talent, but according to recruiting experts, Arkansas most definitely signs better talent.

If Bielema were to leave Arkansas, we'd have plenty of great options, just as we always have. Our problem hasn't been a lack of options, but rather a lack of intelligence from our athletic department and I don't think that's a problem anymore. We've passed on hall of fame coaches enough to make our fan base sick, but those days are over. After Nutt left, many naive media personalities were saying he was the best we could get and telling us we'd made a mistake, but we brought in Petrino. When Petrino began tarnishing our reputation, we fired him and stole Bielema from Wisconsin. Like a lot of schools, Iowa's best head coach has ties to Arkansas, so if you're an Iowa fan, you really should know better. If you're also an Auburn fan, you really have no excuse, considering 2 of your last 3 head coaches were from Arkansas.

Don't mind him, he's just getting sand kicked into his vagina from every angle.

Gus bus is turning into a Gus bust. Bert's players beat auburn. Arky finished the season strong. Auburn imploded as the season went on. Tennessee stomped the shite out of Iowa. And to top it off, auburn's daddy got embarrassed by Ohio state.

His mom left some midol in my medicine cabinet he can use though.

At least he'll be striving for a realistic goal at 8 wins. Maybe Arkansas can hire Gus to do a lecture on what it's like to win the SEC. It'll be nice for your program to hear about since they've never experienced it.

You're retarded. This thread is at 7 pages because we're trying to have a conversation with a retarded individual. shite

If Iowa has losing seasons the next two years Ferentz will be out and Bert is moving in.

With Michigan and Penn St improving over that timeframe it could happen. Michigan St and OSU will remain very strong.

c/o 2012
c/o 2011 was top 30
c/o 2010

Not going back further than that. It's no secret it's been a rough couple years in Iowa City.
Iowas recruiting in the big ten is relative to Arkansas recruiting in the SEC. Of course the recruits out of the south will be higher rates than the recruits out of the Midwest. Congrats on signing "more talent" out of HS, but despite the rivals rankings, at the end of the day Iowa signs more talent as proven at the highest level in the NFL

The question is where will Gus jump to.The table must be set for him to save his resume. He won't take the licks for long.Strike while the iron is hot should be his mantra.

He seems better suited to be OC than HC. Or go to a school in the big 12 where they put a lot more emphasis on offense than defense.

So you're using Rivals? I used the 247 composite, which most will consider more accurate, since it's a composite. Had to go back 4-5 years to find an Iowa class rated inside the top-50. Regardless, it sounds like your best classes may be similar to our worsts, so I don't where you're getting this idea that they're similar? Don't really care, either.

I don't see Bret leaving the challenge he is successfully achieving in the toughest division in the toughest conference in the country.

Yep,he only won two games, but no doubt he's trending upward. He seems to be very competitive and I don't see him taking the easy way out.

Well that's the only way to go from the top. Now that we aren't there any more we can start the climb back up. Gus knows it's more fun for the fans to climb up than stay at the top. He's playing the long game with us

Sorry, but Iowa is like the Ole Miss of the B1G. No, instate talent, surrounding states suck for recruiting, etc. No way Bulimia takes that job. Just my B1G opinion.
