I wonder how far we move up during this year

You would move up only slightly because South Carolina spent several weeks ranked. That's why this formula is more than a little flawed.

You could probably make a case that UGA men's basketball is the most incompetently managed program in all of DI college sports, given its natural advantages and the size of the school.

When Hugh Durham replaced John Guthrie as HC it was reported that Guthrie was making $12K per year. It was like, WTF!?

LSU basically goes to the Final Four or bombs out. They've been to 4 Final Fours and only have slight leads on Alabama, Mizzou and Tennessee who have been to none (and only 1 Elite 8 each).

We've been to 3 Elite Eights.

Interesting that postseason success is not factored into this. Explains why programs that have never reached a Final Four get ranked above programs that have multiple championship game appearances.

Yes but they obviously mean overall success. For instance, by process of elimination, some teams get very bad Ncaa draws. Doesn't mean they were not good. We have all seen teams under the radar go very deep yet a good team drew them early.

Again, I think it means overall success.

I think Arkansas has the better program but Bama does have a decent history. I can see being ranked above LSU but I can also understand them disagreeing with it.

these are ranked based on % of the time ranked in the AP poll. Is that a complete metric? HELL no.

Universal (all SUCCESS factors) SEC top 5 all-time:

1. UK

2. Florida
3. Arkansas

4. LSU
5. Missouri

Everyone else.

yeah, didn't run the Mizzou numbers but Arkansas nearly triples Bama in every major category.
