Why are ATM fans so butthurt with my responses?

I've followed recruiting in Texas pretty closely given LSU has always went after Texas kids.

first off, SMU wasn't the only SWC school paying players.

THEY ALL WERE.

So bringing them up means dick. Never mind the reason SMU is where they are is not b/c Texas took back what they were getting but b/c SMU got tagged with the death penalty. That caused their admin to curl up into the fetal position and go out of their way to make sure football wasn't important at the school anymore.

I mean you could count aTm now, I guess. But it's only been a couple years. aTm isn't very successful, historically speaking.

I'm beginning to see that this thread has become more about horn lovin' & Ag bashing than it is about discussion. Arguing, just to be contrary.
(Welcome to the SECr, right?)

But it's amazing how many folks are salivating to see the ladies in Austin get their house in order.

Bowing out now.

Again, your intentional ignoring of A&M's dominance for 20 years in this state is cute.

Funny thing is, none of us know shite RIGHT NOW, in regards to the impact the hiring will have on TX recruiting and on field success.

All I have done is take the wait and see approach. ATM fans are saying he won't be successful because he sounded rough in his introductory PC (which he most certainly did). How UT finishes will not tell much, because there's no previous relationships with players. How there first few JR days go will tell a lot more.

Notre Dame isn't coming back.

Michigan isn't coming back.

USCw isn't coming back.

Texas isn't coming back.

Hope some of you can get that through your fricking skulls.

Just to be clear, A&M has won more games than Florida.

SMU was really good from about 81-84. A&M took over after that.

You act like we can't remember our own conference history.

Florida's coach has manboobs and ran their program into the ground. They're too fricked up on painkillers down there to even notice.

I remember NC's being won by Texas and and SMU

I am not old enough to remember the Dana Bible days of aTm.

If we're talking Jackie Sherril, then ok I guess. But aTm didn't get the crystal and were a 10-2 type team annually.

We won more conference championships than Texas and SMU put together. Nice try.

You are delusional. Just like FSU wasn't coming back. They had a terrible decade, practically, and have done a heck of a job building a roster. All it takes is a great QB prospect and a few playmakers on defense.

You are a damn fool to think all those teams you listed will never be good again.

pretty naive thing to say.

a lot of people thought Bama would never be back too.

and LSU in the 90's looked like there was no hope.
