These are the same guys who expect to score every other play with their juggernaut offense then go 3 and out every time on defense.

Ohhh Aggy.

Somebody was either locking up elite recruits or Chavis was doing a heck of a job coaching them up.

Corey Raymond
Frank Wilson
The old WR coach (I can't remember his name)

The majority of LSU's recruits over the last several year will have one of these listed as their primary recruiter for LSU.

You're right. LSU has a plethora of talented players on defense, several former players in the NFL and Chavis had absolutely nothing to do with it. You guys are unreal.

Chavis was responsible for LBs. Go take a look at LSU players in the NFL and see how many LBs we have and how many of them were recruited by or played under Chavis.

Lamin Barrow - Was an ok LB at LSU. Recruited by Larry Porter.
Kevin Minter - Stud at LSU. Signed in 2008.
KeKe Mingo - DE at LSU
Perry Riley - Saban's guy
Kelvin Sheppard - Great LB at LSU but only had 1 year under Chavis. Signed in 2005.

Guys, let the Aggies have their off season moral victory. They need something to feel good about in between the annual arse whoopings they receive in November at the hands of their big brother.

I know it's a fricking embarrassment to be an A&M fan..but North Texas??

North Texas vs A&M would be a great game actually. Would look a lot like A&M vs LA Tech, minus a Heisman winner.

That's not just off the top of your head. That's basically all he's done thus far. Yall have absolutely no secondary. Quite literally not one DB on your roster that would start at LSU next year. And you missed out on some this past recruiting cycle.

Guess what Chavis had a plethora of basically the entire time he was at LSU? Future NFL DBs.

Look, he's a great coach. He really is. And your D should improve. But he doesn't recruit well and to say otherwise is just blind ignorance and/or stubbornness.

I'm not too worried about it because a 14 year old with Down Syndrome could coach this defense to a top 2-3 in the conference at this point. have you seen our depth chart? It's filthy

Can't say the same for aggy, especially at DB. yall have the higher regarded coach, and LSU has the better players. We will see how the defensive stats unfold in 2015.

Nobody believes A&M will have a higher ranked defense this year, the styles of play alone dictate that.

The question is whether or not Chavis combined with our superior offensive prowess will make us a better overall team in the long run.

Ok. So....where was all the outrage about Chavis before he went to A&M? He didn't recruit, his defense was soft/garbage.....I don't understand why so many of you defended him and none criticized him. I mean, now that he is at A&M plenty of you are criticizing him. Why not before?

There were threads about Chavis created after almost every game that questioned him and his defense. Also, he was constantly called out on his lazy recruiting practices by the fanbase. All you had to do was venture to the TigerRant every couple of days and you would have seen a negative thread about Chavis.

Particularly from 2012-2015. I'm sorry you missed them as they were usually quite entertaining.

From 2013

But hey, a UGA fan doesn't know any LSU fans who criticized Chavis! Never mind the ones who were in the stadium at the end of big games that were lost.

I still have him a pass for the last minute blunders, because overall the defenses were still great. But to act as though Chavis was never criticized until he bolted is just idiotic.

We can tell LSU doesn't care because they won't stop talking about it

I'm sure they were. Fans tend to eat their own. We can be brutal sometimes. I don't go to the TigerRant. I can only go by what I see on here, and usually that hurts my eyes!

I love it when posters have to revert to the "U Mad" type posts. The next step is tucking your tail and going to the movie/TV board or something.

There's only one team that repeatedly talks shite to a team that repeatedly beats them. I know you know the answer too.

Little ol' Aggy outbid them for a coach their head coach and athletic department desperately wanted to keep, regardless of what the fans want to say after the fact. You had to know their would be some vicious fallout.

It doesn't help that the issue was magnified ten fold after they had to settle for their 5th choice as a replacement.
