I don't know why these things always have to devolve into some sort of dick measuring contest as to who has the "cleanest" program

I defend it because it's defensible.

There was no cause for arrest according to what I've read, and I wouldn't be surprised if the charges are dropped.

Yes, you fricking legal eagle, I'm aware.

The cop could just as easily used some discretion when assessing the situation, at which point he would have realized what transpired was a perfectly normal, contained occurrence, the likes of which don't demand using the fullest extent of his power to address.

Hence the frustration. It was an unnecessary arrest likely carried out by a townie who takes out his personal frustration with his own life on others.

I never ran to the defense of a guy who got arrested on the football team and LSU has had its share, but gawldamnit boys out in CS are on a bender right now. These guys aren't pacing themselves at all.

Didn't speedy catch some shite too? Or was he not arrested?

He was with Golden and Claiborne enjoying the herb.

He wasn't arrested since Sumlin promised him immunity from every state law and municipal ordinance as part of the deal.

The other two were taken to jail.

Stupid to arrest him for disorderly conduct. If anything, solicitation.

If only they'd segue into getting arrested for sexual assault and battery, then we could put this whole thug and convict era behind us.

Its nothing to do with the charges. Its a culture that Sumlin has created that football players are above the rules and laws.

It started with Manziel and his antics, whether it was on field, off the field breaking both the law and NCAA regulations, and it has continued and spilled over to the rest of the team.

Id be worried if I were an aggie but it seems that yall have gone the other way on this. Attacking the law and not the perpetrator. Aggie honor code and all

No, I'm really not worried about football players getting arrested by the Gestapo for drinking, smoking a little weed, and for issuing idle threats to drunk people.

Sorry.

In most cases, especially on Northgate, where the city of college station tried to make it a FELONY to have an open container outside, the law IS the perpetrator.
