That's what we've been trying to tell y'all. CSPD doesn't have "regular people" crimes to worry about so they make work.

A couple months ago I saw a police car parked waiting for people to run red lights. I came to a complete stop, made eye contact with the officer and took off and he still pulled me over. He said the nose of my car went over the white line at the stop sign. Since I controlled myself and did not laugh I only got a warning. I am over 50.
Bottom line is there is very little crime in College Station and these cops are bored.

My good friend from high school who went to A&M got arrested after he failed to pay a seat belt ticket he received while riding as a passenger through a parking lot. He always said the city of college station generated more revenue through tickets than either the Houston police department or the Dallas police department.

I know a lot of people that have gotten arrested during chili fest, the cops are out of control that weekend as in they literally call in every desert storm cop they can find in the state.

My dad and I were talking about this earlier and that is exactly what he said. Actually, I think it was word for word. Wait, what?
I lived in BCS, for 17 years and Daddy moved there in '84. He is retired law enforcement and he doesn't like the majority of the department. The CSPD does HATE the University and all of the students. Although I probably deserved most of my run in's with them, most don't. 98% of them are pricks.
