Sounds like a drunken moment of douchery. Not a big deal, police should have never brought him him.

it is becoming apparent to me that the local constabulary in college station is filled with power hungry dumb asses. they seem to be stereotypical losers that strap on a gun and get all power hungry. like the " let's go show these young punks who's in charge" type. the kid should have been calmed down and let go. disorderly conduct? gimma a break.

You'd be amazed at what the sips get away with in Austin. This would never happen in Austin.

The rest of the story. From TexAgs:
quote:
The attorney for Texas A&M freshman wide receiver Ricky Seals-Jones told TexAgs on Sunday evening that Seals-Jones would fight disorderly conduct charges that were filed against him early Sunday morning.
"Ricky Seals-Jones is absolutely fighting these charges," Attorney Cameron Reynolds said in a press release given to TexAgs. "He had nothing to drink and was at home when a friend called him to come to Northgate to give him a ride home. Ricky went to Northgate to help his friend toward the car when someone struck him. "When Ricky turned toward him that person cursed him and called Ricky the 'N' word. Words were exchanged and Ricky was arrested. The other individual was not arrested.
"I have personally spoken with an independent witness who confirms these facts. Ricky volunteered to take a breath test since he had not consumed alcohol, but this request was never granted."

I don't know, but the state is striving to become more and more like Alabama in this regard.

The only believable part of that was the n word part since it was in college station after all.
