Don't pretend to know it as well as you might considering you are an actual fan. Did you read the whole post? I said that this is an annual tradition for some of your fans to call for Miles to be gone, but that we had not heard those calls THIS year until 3 weeks ago.

For some of you, it isn't about the last 2 games, but those were the last straws. They proved that despite the early success of this year, Miles isn't going to be the guy to take you back where you want to go. But, until 3 weeks ago, you guys were ridding high on the LF7 Heisman train and the Leap Year propaganda hype, so people were hoping that Miles could close the deal. Now most have come to grips with the likelihood that he can't.

Not a single one of them would, and I don't blame them.

As a fan you don't deserve a damn thing. Football isn't a wish list. Did you ever stop to think that perhaps LSU is playing above their level and the star ranking system misevaluated them.

The players on the field during last weeks Arkansas arse-whipping couldn't leave early did they deserve what the fans gave them?

Maybe Drac should have posted this on tRant so you could have had a safe space to talk about it. You probably think you deserve that too.

Since my thread was anchored, I'll post the counterargument here:

quote:

From 2010 - 2014, LSU won 10+ games in 4 out of the 5 seasons, won 1 SEC championship, and had one of the best seasons in college football history. This year, if the first game of the season had not been canceled, they'd be on pace for another likely 10 win season, although they still may get there even with the canceled game. Miles is 6-4 in bowl games including a win in the BCSCG and a win in the Sugar Bowl. LSU will have gone to a bowl game in each of Miles' 11 seasons at LSU.

So what exactly do LSU fans think they "deserve?" You guys think you should be winning the SEC and getting in the CFP at least once every three seasons? Good luck finding a coach who will be able to accomplish that goal in the SEC West. Saban does it, but there are no other Saban's out there to be had.

You guys really think your justified in paying $13M to fire Miles, probably pay some more to fire the assistants, and then take on a whole new payroll including paying $4M/year for a new coach? Wasn't LSU having budget issues?

Hell, before Alabama, I don't think you guys could be any happier. Now just because LSU loses 2 games against 2 of the toughest teams in college football everything has gone to shite? You aren't George Steinbrenner and LSU isn't the NY Yankees - you can't justify expecting championships every year.

Solid post, I actually read the entire post, not something I usually do when I see one that long. As an outsider i look at UG and LSU fanbases as being simular. Both have winning coaches that in their opinions are not getting the job done. That is a tough position to be in as there is a huge unknown with making a coaching change when you are winning. It's easy if the coach is a loser. I hope it works out. You did hit the nail on the head with your post.

Agree with your post except for one point:

When Nick Saban saw that his offensive philosophy wasn't working anymore, what did he do? he changed it

Should have written

When Nick Saban saw that the NCAA wasn't willing to change game rules to conform to his thinking about hurry up offenses, what did he do? he changed the Alabama offense

I mean, did you really think this was anything except fan rhetoric?

Yea, I did. And he's right. Of course LSU fans were excited at the fact that Fournette and Co were playing well early.

You say this

I always expect Bama/LSU to be a brawl. What would concern me is how this year's team didn't seem to fight like years past. There were more than one instance of defensive players not sticking their nose in there at the point of attack.

No way Eric Reid or kevin Minter would have tolerated the effort in the second half against us. And, as much as we Bama fans like to disparage the Honey Badger, that little bastard would have brought a switchblade on the field and cut Derrick Henry before he would have conceded a 9 minute game ending drive. That's what seems to be missing from this year as opposed to earlier Miles' teams.

Whether it's Les, or some other reason, I have no idea.

If LSU finishes with 2 losses, that's not really a decline. But not an incline either. That's the difference in our line of thinking and TAMU line of thinking. LSU fans are just spoiled enough.

A primer for the SECr on why LSU fans are at their wits end with Les

You dumb fricks are spoiled as shite and have no concept of LSU football history. I guess that's what comes with riding the bandwagon.

Find me another SEC team under a current head coach with a record like Les. Do y'all want to go back to the good ole days with Nick? Guess what? He gone. The good ole days before Wonder Midget consisted of mediocrity.

Because y'all need an LSU football history lesson, and are too stupid, lazy, or scared to look it up, I did it for you:

#5 Declining line play.
#6 Refusal to adapt.

Bama's offense this year is pretty boring too. Last year was different when Kiffin used Sims/Cooper pretty dynamically. But Coker and a weak passing OL has limited the hell out of what we can do this year. It's similar to LSU's offense but with a little more effectiveness from the QB. Bama's offense is definitely better with 2-7 of your ponits. Saban has continuously adapted more on defense but getting as much out of the offense without changing too much from year to year with a run heavy strategy.

You can troll all you want but that isn't gonna change the fact that aggy is a dumpster fire. LSU fans are upset over a potential 2 loss season. You're a tier 3 program. I really don't care what your thoughts are on this.
