Nah, for me things are only great if we have a good road trip built into the schedule, no matter who the coach is. Syracuse trip was a good one.

Once again the strongest case made for showing Les the door is the legion of fans from other schools that think he should stay.

Incredible, isn't it? The first 3 years Les was at LSU every other fanbase was saying how much of a goof he was. Now they all love him, and think LSU is exactly where it should be. This is a sure sign that the HC is in trouble.

tldr

To the Les haters, remember DiNardo and Curley days.

No way Jimbo leaves FSU for LSU. He has a nest on the ground at FSU.

Les has problems. But no one not named Saban, Meyer, Harbaugh is going to be as good as Les.

I don't care if the offense is boring, etc., as long as we win. Getting into a NC title game is really difficult. Les has been there twice.

Everyone complains that with all the talent LSU should do better. He, and the staff he assembled, are the ones getting that talent. Saban aside, LSU has NEVER EVER EVER had recruiting classes like Les brings in. I hope we have Les a long time. When he leaves all you whiners will be wishing he didn't in short order I imagine. (tldr - grass is almost never greener....)

Sounds like how we Gamecock fans felt about Spurrier these past two years.

Difference being that Spurrier rested on his laurels, got tired of kissing 17 and 18 year old butts on the recruiting trail ... and our talent level has since suffered.

LSU is fortunate in that regard, you have enough talent in your backyard to allow your staff to make other mistakes, without it costing your roster.

I think LSU needs to give him one more chance to hire an up and coming offensive cord. If he is not willing to do that or isn't willing to give up some of the offensive control then send him out the door.

You can troll all you want

It is not trolling. LSU fans act like they are entitled to all this success as a football program, even though as a whole they are shittier fans than at a lot of programs in the SEC.

An example of a fanbase that actually DESERVES success is poor South Carolina, filling a stadium and keeping it full even in winless seasons. The only reason you feel LSU deserves to be an elite program on the Bama level is because that is where you were this decade partially thanks to the work of the man yall want to run off.

In fact the fans leaving at halftime during a night game expose a real danger facing LSU's program- if yall replace Les and that hire flops yall might not have enough fan support to dig out of the hole. If fans won't stay for a SEC night game for a one loss Les team there is no way they are staying or even coming to see a 6 win season if LSU hires their Charlie Strong. Bye bye fan support means bye bye recruits, bye bye wins, bye bye money. We did that dance ourselves last decade.

You can troll all you want but that isn't gonna change the fact that aggy is a dumpster fire.

Meh we are still on an uptrend overall in program direction.

quote:

LSU fans are upset over a potential 2 loss season. You're a tier 3 program

Those things aren't really connected to each other in any place but your mind. Also any tier system that has A&M as a Tier 3 program would have LSU as a Tier 2 program so don't pretend you are Bama.

if you paid attention you'd realize that LSU fans believe Les wins despite himself. The horses are there, just wrong jockey. You can pretend you know what our fan base thinks all you want, but you're dead wrong.
truth, we enjoy wins however, whenever we get them but the underlying sentiment most times is "Les sure tried to frick that up, good win boys"

Winning requires great talent, execution and good coaching

We always have talent, our execution is inconsistent

When we win we win because of excellent talent and execution

We lose because our HC does not understand the job of a HC- He is a position coach who masquerades as a HC

Yep they did. TigerintheHollow made threads about how Miles was basically as good as Saban minus 1 regular season game or something along those lines.

L5U fans need to slow their roll, know their role, and shut their crawfish pie holes about Les.

. All that crap you typed is all well and good. We should just settle for whatever kind of lame effort Les brings to the stadium because he is the winningest coach in LSU history. Got it

The only reason LSU has excellence since the early 2000s is they fell arse backwards in to Saban Otherwise they'd be a yellow and purple version of Ole Miss. Let's not pretend that some sort of entitlement led to anything.

I like Les Miles as a person - he really seems to care about the program, the players, the fans and the school. He also has the ability to remain a strong family guy but all in all - many of the original points are accurate. And what some others have posted, many LSU fans are quick to jump on his arse once things start hitting the rocks. But we love him when he is winning and all. But that I think starts with how he was hired, filling Sabans shoes, and of course Saban coming back to the SEC. Seems like when Miles pulls a Miles, we all go right back to day one of his hire. I know I do.

I don't know - if you take away the name miles, and not show it is LSU - anyone would view his stats and say, damn that's pretty good. And it is not the losses mind you, its the way the have lost. The NC game against Bama - Bama was of course on fire, and destroyed LSU in every aspect of the game - but LSU continued to do the same damn thing over and over. Bama game this year - reminded me of that.

And of course we have the non-development of talent. Look at the starters in the NFL from LSU. So much talent on this team, and previous teams, but just raw talent.

I do remember the days of Curly, Archer and Dinardo, and those were frustrating, but on a different level. The program was stagnant, in state talent going elsewhere, everything was just behind the times. Now we are a nationally recognized program on a continuous basis, facilities, talent, $$ and so on - but for some reason cannot get a consistent team. And honestly - it makes me cringe to think I want to see a change - because I know it is absurd based on what he has done, but still feel like the program is stuck in neutral.
