They struggled against bad teams all year and sat at home yesterday. 2 loss Stanford is more deserving than OSU.

Even if it went to 8 teams the SEC would only have 1 team in the Big 10 would have 3

As much as I agree with this statement, we are no closer to a real solution without a big playoff system. I love the fact that each season every game is important, and if we were to go to a full on playoff, the regular season would be kind of boring. We should have the major conferences even up with 14 each and have it be conference vs conference.
The only problem with that is the majority of football is played in the south... There is absolutely a disparity between the number of kids that play down here vs up in the midwest. From little league all the way up to HS, there is no comparison. Hell, in texas, these kids play year round and do 7 on 7 in camps that are like Select League baseball when I was younger. The camps are run by highly trained ex college players/pro players.
I don't think it is the same all over the country though. This would obviously reward those shitty midwestern teams that have it easier in the shitwestern conference.
Still, we have plenty of examples in the current top 25 that wouldn't beat most of the SEC teams. Rewards to the weak. Thanks Obama!

I am not sure about having as much of a right, but as a fan, I would love an eight team playoff.

8 is perfect, 4 is good but not enough. Don't tell the traditionalist that, they hate just having a playoff. Also the argument of too many games is ridiculous FCS teams play a 16 team playoff

You will ALWAYS be able to say "if Team A can get in, why not TEAM B?". That can't be your standard. Let's just make sure we don't ever screw any undefeated teams, and let the regular season be the playoff the way college football has always been. Whats always made it unique and great. There is 5 major conferences, leaving it at four is absolutely retarded. Putting it at 8 gives you the five power conference champions plus three at large teams

Why are people so hell bent on ruining the only sport that has a compelling regular season? An 8-team playoff borderline ruins it.
What happens when #1 & #2 meet each other at the end of the year? You're getting to the point where a coach will sit his stars knowing he's not going to fall out of the top 8 no matter what.
