TT bringing the facts Bama has a ton of good players and some that suck, just like any other program that sends so many players to the pros. It's amusing to me how rustled some of u get over this topic. Who really cares what they do once they get to the pros, it has no bearing on their college careers.

Not surprised by the Collins state. He blows at least 5 coverages a game.

NFL is a passing league. If your safeties and DBs are leading tacklers, they are getting picked on.
Not true at all. There's so much passing that you've seen the reemergence of the smaller hybrid safety-lb type of player to try and compensate. Some teams have been experimenting with 3 or even 4 (the Saints) safeties on the field. Mark Barron, for example, has been a terror in a non traditional role as an undersized OLB

Tackles stats for the secondary mean nothing in todays game. Again, they get credit for a tackle with a push out of bounds after a completed pass. The best indicator is how many times have they been targeted for passes. After watching many on the OPs list and including Dre K, they seem to be one of the favorite targets of opposing QBs.

Me too, man. Hopefully GB gives him the business after the season.

Depends on the system. For example, Landon Collins' primary role in NY is run support.
bullshite. He couldn't cover in college, so it's no surprise he can't in the NFL. He's making tackles after pass completions.

Amari Cooper isn't top 10 right now.

Lots of people would consider him a top 10 WR overall based on skill set. His presence has completely transformed the Raider offense.

CJ Moseley, Dont'a Hightower, ?

Mark Barron, DeMeco Ryans. Rolando McClain isn't far behind.

Cooper isn't a top ten or top 20 WR. He will be one day but he isn't there yet.
Only Hightower and Barron are arguably top 10 LBers this year. Mosely isn't playing as well as last year but he's still a solid LBer. McClain has been average this year and Ryans has played very little. Landon Collins has been very medicore this year in coverage but not in run support.

Just becuase a safety has 100+ tackles that doesn't mean the player or defense suck. In some cases like Collins it does mean the player/defense aren't good but in HaHa's case it isn't true.

I've said multiple times in this thread and in every other one that he sucks in coverage. Doesn't change the fact that people are being retarded in here. Or maybe you also think he's given up 90+ completions and just makes the tackle afterwards? When he screws up it usually goes for a TD

The whole secondary sucks so there are plenty tackles to go around...and he is a major factor in run defense. He doesn't lead the team by 20 tackles simply because he can't cover anything.

I'm not referring to his tackle numbers. I'm referring to him being a complete liability and I hate him

The problem is when GMs draft a player high, they are forced to play them. A lot of those players are playing because of their draft position, but their on the field performance will not keep them off the field because of the job security of the Management.

The whole Giants defense sucks. They can't bench the whole defense.

The best players play. The only position where a high profile draft pick is forced to play is QB. Any other position where a bad pick was made is cut or traded within the first 2 or 3 years. Trent Richardson is the only Bama player that be labeled a bust. Some others might have been overdrafted, and not lived up to their draft selection. Those are two totally different things though.

The NFL invest so much money in their scouting that if you are drafted in the first or early second rounds, you are going to start the next season. With 53 man rosters, the entire organization is dependent on early playing time for rookies. The best players do not always end up playing, that is why you see so many players from smaller schools making a name for themselves after being in the league for 3-4 years.

Im hopefully we get an actual FS next to him by next year. It's easy to look bad is pass coverage when you play on the worst pass D in the league. Collins has been average this year as a rookie. I have faith he will develop into a good player for us. Better than Kenny Philips anyway.
