Seems we always discuss the West, but the East is just as or maybe more wide open.

Florida has the talent, but I don't want to put too much stock into their new offense yet.

USC should be a really good team, but I just cant see them in Atlanta.

Mizzou will be solid on offense, but losing StopKony2012, and The Rainbow Warrior on that d line is going to hurt.

My pick is Georgia. Even if Mason doesn't live up to the hype some UGA fans are giving him, they can rely on a nasty defense and one of the deepest RB groups in the country to win games.

I wouldn't call UGA's defense nasty.

South Carolina! Some people might pick Georgia, but I expect their secondary to be absolute garbage.

It will be close between Mizzou South Carolina and UGA again. I'll go with South Carolina

Missouri or USC are the two favorites IMO.

Georgia and Florida with both be competing for it.

Tennessee is a wildcard.

The East is wide open, but I wouldn't say Georgia has a nasty defense a lot is needed to be proven in that category. I would say their rushing attack is nasty, and a solid rushing attack will keep you in games.

How is Georgia's defense nasty? They were horrible last year and they are going to be starting walk ons in their secondary this year

UGA's defense is experienced, and the front 7 is going to cause problems for people. The secondary is a bit concerning, but I expect Pruitt to get the most out of that group.

UGA wins the East before they play the AU game.

Experienced garbage is still garbage. Changing the collector isn't going to make it into something it's not...

They recruited DB pretty well this last cycle and got a guy in Shattle Fenteng who can play both boundary corner or FS

As an Aggie I can agree with this statement.

I hesitate throwing this out there, since we have so many question marks and could go 0-8 for all I know, but if Vandy can beat Ole Miss in Nashville in Week 2, I don't think a 6-2 conference record is out of the realm of possibility, and who knows how that would play out. We probably lose at home vs. South Carolina and at Georgia, but I think we have a decent chance vs. everyone else. (No Alabama, no LSU, no Auburn, no A&M.)

I suppose you're right, USCe has been garbage for most of it's existence. Who am I to question an expert?

I like how the talking point changed when we got a new coach.

"They're talented and have more experience, but they still have shitty coaches" to "They have more experience and better coaches, but their talent sucks."

FTR, I expect growing pains in the secondary this year. Not like last year, but not ideal. We'll be good up front though
