95 Huskers. At the time they had better steroids than the rest.

Obviously I can only speak to my lifetime, but that 95 Nebraska team was ridiculous. I'm not sure they were the best team of all time, but the gap between them and everyone else that year was absurd.
The '01 Miami team and '04 USC teams were also very gnarly and loaded with NFL talent.

'01 Miami and '04 USC are mainly remembered for their NFL talent and what they did in their bowl game to their opponent. Those two teams were sick but I think 1995 Nebraska was better.

Tommy Frazier was a man amongst boys.

I'd like to see the alabama team that beat michigan state in the citrus bowl play the alabama team that beat nd in the bcs game. Video game folks get to work.

95 Huskers by far in my mind...
They beat every team they played by at least 3 TD's. That's crazy. Also if you look at the Gator team they beat, that team was probably the best Gator team in history and Nebraska made them their bitch. Nebraska might still be scoring right now. WOW!

1999 or 2000 gamecocks. Pick one.

95 Nebraska beat (final rankings) #7 Kansas State by 24, #5 Colorado by 23, #10 Kansas by 38, and #2 Florida by 38.
01 Miami barely beat Boston College and Virginia Tech (Vick wasn't there anymore either).

That's nice. I'll still take the 2001 Miami team against a bunch of CFL washouts running the option.

and Auburn was the 2004 Fanpoll.com national champions

I don't believe in all time number ones, but I'd say that 2004 Auburn, 2005 Texas, 95 Nebraska, and 2001 Miami would be capable of beating any teams in history.

Did they get a trophy for it? Is it recognized by the NCAA?

So I guess that's a no.

So is the FWAA (and the NFF for that matter).
