No doubt about it. Even his so called great recruiting classes can hardly make a dent. Interesting enough, nothing is made of it. Only the fact tha Miles is using his players. Rediculous.

According to Bama logic, This means if Alabama wins the NC...full credit goes to Mike Shula

shula had decent teams. they were always competitive. they just folded in the 4th QTR except for a couple of games in 05. guess it took a decent coach to get the over the hump.

I hate the nonsense of Miles winning with Saban's players crap. Anyone that has seen me post it time and time again. Miles is winning/losing with Miles' players. Saban is winning/losing with Saban's players. I mean it's freaking ridiculous. Saban might have recruited players that Miles coached/coaches, but as soon as Les Miles said yes I'll be the head coach of LSU then those players became his and he was then responsible for the further development of those players and Saban's job ended there. Same can be said in regards to the Saban/Shula argument. I wish that people would just give this whole thing a rest. It becomes quite annoying.

You win with what you have.

I am pretty sure the opening post is being sarcastic also. So I a hoping you aren't actually annoyed by the original poster. Many still think the jury is out when Miles has coached 3 top 5 teams and a NC team. It is ridiculous.

Your infatuation with Saban continues.

last year we went 12-2 with mostly Shula players. I think the players deserve a lot of credit for last years success buying into the Saban system even though they were not recruited into it. This year will also feature several Shula recruits although I believe it will be 50% or less.
The first team that Saban will have recruited over 90% of the starters will be 2010. I think from that point forward it will be Saban winning with Saban players. But I cannot see the future so in fact Shula does deserve a great amount of credit for recruiting guys with the character to stick with Alabama and compete at a high level even after he was fired.

The question now becomes over the next several years who will have more success Miles or Saban... My bet would be Saban, but I am biased. Only time will tell.

/le sigh
Fellow Bama fans.... They're all right. Saban sucks.. He's so not coaching his own players. Shula was doing so much better than he is... Let's just all man up and admit that Nick Saban sucks and we want Shula back!!!!!

Thank your Bama idiot brethren for coming up with this nonsense. Every time LSU fans bring up the National Championship, these insecure Gumps want to make it a "Saban player's" issue.
Bamalovr is the best at it, fwiw. I can't believe you guys claim him.
