Yeah I know. That's one of the fun things about football is the passion of the fans. I know people get so aggravated with each other, but it is all in fun IMO and some people take it way too seriously.

SOOOO let's get this straight...
Saban coached Shula's recruits to victory therefore, all hailz Saban in gumpville. Miles coached Saban's recruits to victory therefore Miles sucks according to Gumps.
LOGIC FAIL
You do realize Shula never even made it to Atlanta, beat AU or LSU, yet Saban did all of those, right? Miles accomplished nothing Saban hadn't already done. Big difference.
Here's a homework assignment for you. Compare Shula's record at Alabama and Saban's record at LSU and get back to me.

But...

That is very much the point, because you are trying to compare apples to oranges.

LSU fans are happy with Miles and rightfully so....he is a good coach. Bama fans are equally happy with Saban. End of story. Thank you

Nope, wasn't my intention. My point is that while Miles has put together an impressive record at LSU, he hasn't accomplished any goal (Winning the SEC West, SEC Title, National Championship, beating Alabama/Auburn) that hadn't been done by Saban. On the flipside, Saban has accomplished several things already at Alabama that Mike Shula never did.

It may be the end of the story, but it will go on and on until one of them changes jobs, retires, or dies.
