In my mind next year Shea will redshirt and Kelly will lead the team next year with Switchblade as a change up again. At least that's best case scenario to me. And I think Shea has the mental ability and big picture to know that red shirting is what will be best for him.

Right, but we're going to be losing every single offensive line starter, so experience will be scant, at best.

Also, why isn't Jordan Sims getting any looks? I thought he was a steal coming out of high school.

I think we'll see Javon Patterson, Taylor and a few others get significant playing time this year. Conyers has played a bunch and he's meh, but wutevs. Seems like make or break year for Daronte Bouldin or Davion Johnson to emerge as legitimate depth.

I think Sims just fat

WR should be fine, although we'll certainly miss Successfulquon.

I have hope for the future at TE though because Willie Hibbler is a beast.

I worry about Hibbler's learning curve since he comes from likely a shitty high school system (North Sardis WTF) - obviously he's an athlete tho.

As long as he is above 210 pounds, I could see us upgrading here.

The football gods sure did troll us when Swinney got hurt IDK if anyone on the roster is better than Walton, sadly.

I'm hoping for a 7-5 or 8-5 season in 2016. If we go 8-5 in 2016, Freeze deserves another raise

Yeah I would guess a step back, although our talent level will still be high overall (we still haven't even seen our big recruits like Speaks, Javon Patterson, McDowell, Gates, Lodge, Jefferson, DJ Jones, Swinney, Chad Kelly get an opportunity yet).

We could very well have an experienced QB too in 2016, or the swagg of Shea.

So Davion is gone and Sims is the most in shape guard we have. He lost 65lbs.

I though one was gone, thanks.

Did Bouldin even play last year? He was always the beast in the weight room and everyone hyped his potential...

But an eighteen year old kid in the gauntlet that is the SEC West . . . that's just rather dumb, especially considering we'll presumably have Chad Kelly with one-year of experience under his belt.

This.

Chad will be the starter next year as well. Shea will not redshirt. He'll start 2 years for us and then Hegone! Enter Fromm.

He just can't get to his spot fast enough on a pull. Morris is talented and experienced and if he's as committed as it sounds, that's good.

I hate Bell as much as the rest of them, but if you watch some of the plays he's pulling on, there are Defensive linemen pushing our O-linemen into each other. Still is below average and Rod was last year as well (which is understandable). We need the O-line to gel badly this year.

Hearing Duke Williams has missed 2nd day of practice at Auburn....and Cam Robinson was carted off today at Bama.......we know too well about losing players but could be a perfect storm for a run.

I would hope if he's not our starter that they would redshirt him. It would benefit everyone.

Yeah if Kelly and the current backups work this year why would we not redshirt Shea?

Because you may only get him for 24 regular season games if you do that.

Would you rather have him for 24 quality, prepared games or risk us sucking his first year just because you want to see him play?

I don't give a shite if he only plays one year like Cam Newton....I want the best product on the field no matter who it is.

If he's only going to be here three years (big if) I would like to see him playing in mop up duty that first year. Game reps are invaluable.

I see no point in redshitting him. Even if he does redshirt he's gonna leave after his redshirt junior (would be senior) year anyway. Let him do mop up duty and get game experience next year

36 games > 24 games

Any day of the week and twice on Sunday

I don't think Kelly is gonna be all that great but I hope I'm wrong... I feel like he'll try to do too much out there and force too many TOs.

Best case scenario.....

Kelly has a huge year with 3600 yards passing. 25 TD's and 6 int"s and leaves for the NFL, because the Rebels have a huge season. Due mostly to the insertion of Conyers, Patterson and Taylor as starters by the Bama game. Thus we return 3 of 5 starters on the offensive line for 2016 with two highly rated freshmen tackles getting the start and plenty of depth.

DK and RB come back and Shea gets some playing time in spot duty, but he's not thrown to the wolves.

The Rebels pull off another 10 win season in a rebuilding year.

2017 - With a seasoned offense with depth and the number 1 scoring defense for the 3rd straight season, Shae and Jason P. lead the Rebels to the NC in CHF 6th season.

Lol yeah that was extremely optimistic.

The battle between Shea and Pellerin is going to be intense. Pellerin won't just roll over.

I'm hopeful Shea RS. I don't want a true freshman as a starting qb. I don't care how good he is. If he doesn't RS I hope its just a backup role.
