Don't get me wrong. If Shea comes out as a true freshman and is picking apart a defense like Peyton fricking Manning then go right ahead and start the son of a gun.

we just know how unlikely that is as a true freshman.

But I want whoever is gonna give us the most wins. No matter if it's Kelly again. Or DK and RB. Or if it's a true freshman in Shea. And for people predicting him to be gone after just 3 years yall may wanna chill a second. He is gonna get knocked due to his frame right off the bat going pro.
My prediction is that he red shirts 2016 then leads us under center for 3 years as our QB.

Always the possibility that Pellerin develops into something special

Any fall camp news other than the QB debate that we have been having... Apparently Robert has been working a lot more at DE than last season and we may see him there more frequently

If Robert is on the outside, that means 2 DT's are stepping it up.

I think the focus this year is on being prepared for LSU and Arkansas type teams that just want to lineup and run. Those two teams in particular its about all they got on offense.

Robert is on the outside because Breeland Speaks might end up being a Freshman AA and DJ Jones is gonna be a 1 and done

I protest any move that means we see less of Haynes

I thought I read RN was playing at 300 this year instead of 280... If that's true why would he be playing more DE?

Haynes hasn't put on much weight. He has gotten stronger though. He still isn't a every down DE. You can use RN and Fadol for first down then rotate Haynes in situationally on 2nd and 3rd down passing situations. I think on 3rd and long if you don't move CJ back down and you put Evans and Haynes on the field at the same time with Robert and Gross man you talk about speed and quickness.

Yeah even if Shea only stays three years and doesn't red shirt that leaves Pellerin with what one year? It just kinda sucks for him because I think he could be really good especially with one year of starting experience.

Nope. We'll probably never hear of him again.

Do you all think we will see a lot more of the read option since we will have such a solid back up? I think the read option really helps our running game and we have done less and less of it every year because we were so worried about getting Bo hurt.

I think we'll see a lot more read option based solely on the fact that Chad Kelly is faster and has better acceleration than Bo Wallace.

I wish we'd stop redshirting so many freshmen. It hurts our depth and limits the size of our recruiting classes.

Even if freshmen aren't ready to play in the first few games, they would add depth later in the season when the starters are worn down. Also, they'd have more experience their second year.

(A red shirt will still be necessary for most OL and maybe DTs.)

OT is pretty much the only position we haven't been able to redshirt as much because we have good depth at every other position.
