Anybody ever find it weird that white people can trace how they look to their country of origin but black people can't? For example you can look at a white person and tell if they have Italian, French, British, Nordic, Russian, etc origins. All have different facial features and skin tones. You can't look at a black person and tell if they're from the Congo, Chad, Nigeria, Ethiopia, etc. Or can you? I don't know but I've never heard of anyone being able to and I've always thought that was odd.

People that call someone racist for thinking BHM shouldn't be a thing for legitimate, non racist reasons, are moronic.
Which non racist reasons have you provided?

BHM should be a thing, also for legitimate reasons.
While I agree with Belle that ethnic history should be more prevalent in the primary curriculum, I think saying that it shouldn't exist at all is kinda silly.

What's silly is a kid who went to an all white private school in Mississippi saying BHM is excessive.
Some people have so little self awareness that it's cringe worthy.

I mean, I think it's just great to learn about people's contributions to this country that aren't necessarily mainstream. Let's face it, minorities are definitely marginalized when it comes to American history. I learned so much about Latinos during Hispanic Heritage Month growing up, and I'm glad there's a month where there's an emphasis on black history as well.
It's not about excluding white history or any other history, it's about introducing lesser-known portions of our national narrative into the spotlight.

BHM is very necessary and not every school district in America spends an entire month on it. If textbook makers would make an effort to include black history then maybe the few places that do it, wouldn't have to spend an entire month on it.

You actuall for the most part look at black features and guess what part of Africa that person is from people just do not give a shite. For instance a lot of the tall basketball playing dudes are pretty much from one or two different tribes lol they aren't finding NBA centers in Ethiopia lol. Like I'm not dark skinned at all and I don't have a big wide nose people think I'm mixed but I'm not
Also most of the slaves like 90% of them came from west Africa like a specific region. You're not getting an accurate depiction of how all Africans look by looking at African Americans
