Do people still regularly get Columbus Day off work? We no longer get that or President's Day on the school level, but we get MLK Jr's Birthday.

No I'm not. He was talking about the single federal holidays. I pointed out what we do and don't get off that's "federal".

I wasn't aware anybody did this. If so, that's a whole different thing. I'd think I'd know about it having all 3 kids graduate from a majority black school in the last 12 years. But then... nobody in my family tells me a damn thing.

I know dirt younger than me, and I hunted dinosaurs in my youth. But I didn't know Black History Month occupied one moment of my children's education. If true, they'd probably have been better served with more of God's language: Math.
