Lightning in a bottle. Very talented. Its no secret though that he was out of ideas and sought out Stipe in Athens for advice on longevity.

I always thought he was overrated, but giving Nevermind a fresh listen, it still holds up over time. I could take or leave the rest of his catalog, but that album is classic.
