Lightning in a bottle. Very talented. Its no secret though that he was out of ideas and sought out Stipe in Athens for advice on longevity.

I always thought he was overrated, but giving Nevermind a fresh listen, it still holds up over time. I could take or leave the rest of his catalog, but that album is classic.

R.E.M.s catalog is pretty damn impressive. Those guys figured it out early.

Wait a minute. Some of you say that Grohl was better than Cobain, Foo Fighters were better than Nirvana, and then criticize Cobain for producing pop music?
