There is a confederate cemetery here too. A lot of history here in Missouri. On our farm we went metal detecting and found some cannonballs, liberty dimes from the civil war period and of course those slugs or bullets.
Anyway Missouri isn't the problem. It's the real yanks causing southern culture to die.

Having lived in Missouri before, there is a distinct difference between most everything south of St. Louis and rest of the state.
I like Missouri in the SEC - there are some serious sports fans there. I mean is Florida really a culturally southern state?

Everything South of there is Northern Ohio, Mich. & Jersey...
All of Southern Ohio is moving to the S.Car. coast...

There're still some Southern areas south of Gainesville. Just not the big cities. I do agree that Ohio and New York are tarnishing Charleston though.

So we aren't racist bigots anymore? Good.
I still treat everyone with respect, say yes mam and fish/hunt.

Manners and good behavior are not taught to everyone like they were when I was a lad. And fewer people speak with a Southern accent.

I'd say your living just right then.

Is this really what we want Southern culture to be?

You can't start this thread and not give examples.

This goes deeper than football. I'm just curious what everyone thinks.
Too many transplants mucking-up the system, bringing their yankee ways with them, always wanting to screw-it-up down here like they did where they are running from.
Yankees are like la cucaracha, except they're invading from the exact opposite direction and yes, they're doing their damnedest to dilute our heritage and traditions in an effort to reestablish the northeast and B1G as the dominate programs in America.

Until we lose our manners and football isn't king, Southern Culture will be doing just fine.

You're right. Everything north of that line works, pays taxes and contributes to the welfare state to the south.

Is not Kansas City the Midwestern home to the thing most epitomizing of yankees ... the Italian mob? Mizzourites are proud of that, amirite?

You'll get no argument from me, I know my southern history too.
