This guy was on the auscwitz documentary on netflix. They told his entire story.
He was born after hitler controlled the nazi party and would have been around 13 when hitler became chancellor and fuhrer and assumed dictatorial powers.
Tough spot for sure. I don't hold him responsible for auscwitz. That was himmler's idea

You're posting on a computer in America. You're easily richer than 80% of the world and while little Marvins are starving in Ethiropia you're content to lounge and lecture about morality on the interwebz. Evil is as evil does.

And a couple of friends got together and helped start a vocational school for a small town in Guatemala. Our first class of auto mechanics graduates in October. We've built 14 homes for widows in that town. I could go on a bit, but it would obscure the issue. The issue is that there are millions of people doing the right thing, in big and small ways. Your jaded cynicism and moral equivalency isn't the answer to injustice.

How any of those 18 million died as a result of illness they had never experienced as opposed to directly from the result of a government order? Every nation on earth forcibly took control of their borders. Except I guess Israel, and maybe a few others.

That's nice. I'm sure that means you're a member of the elect or something. It must be a dreary and difficult black and white world you live in where a person's every action is an absolute manifestation of their morality without wiggle room or understanding.

Yep, definitely never served in the military.
It's so unbelievably obvious when you come across moralists who have never had to see anything worse than their mom spanking their arse.

Read the book of Joshua. They took Canaan by storm. Shock and Yahweh y'all.

You're right, what Israel was given and what they have now has no way been impacted by their settlement and expansion.

I'm an Arminian. Good effort though. Keep swinging.

Mommy, when I grow up I want to be a strong Army man who always does what's right and makes everybody free across the world!
I won't actually spend my days just trying to cover my arse, keep my head both above water and under the radar to stay out of shite.

I think Nazism was evil but I understand why it was successful and why people rallied to it and I don't think that those people were all evil.
Something I didn't see as I read the thread were references to the scale of the Holocaust. Extermination became an industry in Nazi Germany.
Did the German people know what their fascist government was doing to Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals and other "undesirables?" There can be no other answer than yes if we consider the scale of the atrocities.Millions of families disappearing from neighborhoods alone supports that conclusion.
Now, did they know the details? Probably not. That's why the infuriated Allies made sure that German women and men were paraded through the concentration camps after the defeat of the Nazis.
We can compare the Holocaust to other atrocities but it stands alone as the single most horrific, organized effort to exterminate millions of people.

I am always impressed at how off topic these threads get. To bring us back home. This guy signed up for the SS in 41. frick him. It probably doesn't matter to prosecute him now, but he deserves to pay some sort of price for his involvement. If the family of the Jews he helped kill want to bring some sort of suit, good for them.

Exactly why I have no pity for any nazis, no matter what age. It was obvious to everyone inside what was going on

Discussed ad nauseam.

Just who exactly did he kill? That's part of the controversy around this story. There's no reason to believe he killed anyone. Just being present and in uniform apparently is now enough to be an accessory. Time to indict every member of the USAAF for Dresden, Nagasaki and Hiroshima I guess.

Totally different, unless you consider Hiroshima and Nagasaki to be war crimes?

I'm tempted to, if only to further stir up the shite.
I mean, you can bet your arse that had we lost they would be.
