The jury is still out on that, and BTW I remember how very unimpressed you were with Puryear when we signed him.

And he'll be fine. He's still not a 4*. He'll be a slightly less athletic Lawrence Bowers by the time he's done here. That's ok. It's not anything to write home about. Especially when he is the best player in the class and in the top 3 on the team.

Respectfully but wholeheartedly disagree. So you are saying that Isabel, Walton, CVL and Puryear are better than Clarkson, Brown, Oriakhi, Clark, JW3 and the like? Yeah, I completely disagree at this point. Maybe time will change that but so far CVL is no Brown and Isabel is no Clarkson. And I hate transfers.

Although I disagree that KA is a better recruiter than Haith, you can't compare freshmen to 4th year juniors and grad transfers.

I will gladly ignore Mizzou basketball for the next 4 years and at that time, if CVL turns out to be as good as Brown, I'd gladly watch again.

CVL will never be as good as Brown. Walton could develop into that type of player.
Although Haith's last round of transfer recruits were Price/Biedshied/Bello. KA has landed several guys that are better than those.

I dunno about that. We'll obviously never know, but I think if I had the choice of Price/Biedshied/Bello or Allen/Isabel/CVL, I'm not sure there would be much of a difference talent wise and setting aside off the court issues.

That's some bad choices right there.
Though I would expect Allen/TI/CVL to have better stats & be better college players.
Bello couldn't earn pt and was pushed out by KA.
Price rebounds in the neighborhood of Rosburg.
Biedshied has left 4 college programs. As it looks like he is no longer on the roster.

Yeah, not pretty. I was just trying to picture them playing 3 on 3.

Walton may develop into a scorer. He won't ever be a Jabari Brown scorer.

Yea, Walton's game is more of a slasher than shooter. He has a low release point and no midrange game. Based on athleticism he is closer to Clarkson.
The ultimate question about the players on the team now is will they put in the work on their own to be great college players?

That's typical of your spin.

Spin? There's talent on the team. The best players are usually the ones that work the hardest. True across all sports. Wright & Walton both have the physical tools to be 15 ppg scorers. But they need to put in major work in their games to get there.

I certainly didn't expect you to recognize the spin.

Must not be a spin. Mizzou is bad. KA needs to recruit someone that can be a number go to player. If he can't do that/develop that player then move on to a new coach.

I seriously doubt that KA will ever be able to keep a kid in Columbia for four years.

Will KA even be here 4 years? If he makes it past this year I think he will. But MR could easily move on from him this year.

If they give him a third year we are in a lot of trouble. I think we could be worse next year. I am afraid we are going to lose more kids after this year.
