Reading a lot of positives about 2013 WR JaQuay Williams, a 4* prospect attending Fork Union Prep (was #14 WR per Rivals for 2012 class, and #12 WR per 24/7), who was committed to Auburn but has now de-committed due to the coaching staff changes. Williams (6-4, 200) reportedly contacted our coaching staff and expressed interest in coming to our program.
He's currently in Columbia on an official visit: reports are he was picked up at the airport by a limousine sent by USC, and has been given the red carpet treatment. Reports are that this will also be his final OV before deciding on who to commit to, and that the final word could come as soon as tomorrow. He would be a great addition to the team, and another lengthy, talented receiver to add for the roster....

Really would have liked to have landed this kid. Seems we used to have nothing but big WR's, but this year, our WR's were small.

Lazy recruiting strikes again... Rolin decommits. Going to florida. 2 weeks after we lost Langley to uga. 2 of our 6 4 star recruits gone. Not good at all

Removed Matt Rolin from our commitment list...

Tough one to swallow. His grandfather played for Carolina...we usually get legacies.

Well it matters some, but need i remind you all that we still had a SICK class last season, that included Kaiwan Lewis, a great LB in his own right, also I have heard from some that we are getting looks from the best LB JUCO player in the country.

This is who I am talking about. The kid is nice and will contribute immediately. Fast to the ball a la Jarvis Jones, I love it. We also have 2 silent commits. So perk up!

David Williams Commits.

Great pick up by getting the commitment of 4* RB David Williams! Williams announced at the Semper Fidelis All-America Bowl being broadcast on the NFL Network. Williams, a unanimous 4* prospect, is the #9 all-purpose back and #171 on the 24/7 Sports top 247, #13 RB and #124 on the ESPN150, #18 RB per Rivals, and #19 RB per Scout...

Also forgot to edit list by removing former LB commit Kight Dallas....he decommitted/had his offer revoked in early December...

I don't follow recruiting that close, but what's the story on this?

So what does the rest of this class look like. From what I've gathered...
Deadrin Senat, 4 star Def Tackle, playing in 2 All American games this year, offer list is crazy, So Cal, Nebraska, ND, USC, LSU, UGA, Miami, etc...was committed to Florida State, came to our bowl game, decommited from Fla State, and now says he wants to go to USC, but schedule an official visit first. I thought we were full at the DT position, but I guess Mangus said this guy is a "take" if he wants to come here.
Yannick Ngaokue, LB from Wash, DC, 4 star and b/w us and Maryland. Announcing after last Official Visit.
Na'Ty Rogers, OT from MD, 4 star and b/w us, Maryland, Washington and Oklahoma. Is now going to announce on NSD.
Shaq Wiggins, CB from GA, 4 star and current UGA commit, but he said at the Under Armor Game,
“I am still committed to UGA, but there is a very good chance that if I don’t go to Georgia, that I go to South Carolina,” Wiggins said.
Bryson Allen-Williams #14 OLB, 4 star. He now said the top group is So Cal, UF and USC. He came to our Bowl game (he's from Florida) and he wanted to commit, but his mom said he has to take an official visit first. So he's coming up Jan 18th and will most likely commit then.
Our performance in the bowl game has now triggered 2 highly rated guys to switch/favor us now. Florida bowl games are awesome.
Reuben Foster, nation's #1 LB, 5 star decommited from Auburn and says he is coming for an official with USC. He likes the chance to play immediately (looking at our depth chart). He's probably the biggest long shot of the bunch.
Deadrin and Bryson are relatively new names after our bowl game. Glad we could put on a show for them and get some more interest.

He was a 2* that many questioned why we accepted his commitment in the first place. Ward convinced him to look elsewhere.

oh I thought he was a good recruit that did something to get his scholarship revoked...

Damn, anybody remember when getting a four star or two was a big deal? And we would never pull a guy with an offer sheet full of powerhouse programs.
It took longer than we wanted, but Spurrier has this ship turned around.

Allen-Williams is a 2014 kid from Georgia. So I'm not sure if you mixed him up with someone else or not.

Pretty weird goings-on for this recruiting class....JUCO DE commitment Alfi Hill de-commits and instead commits to UNC-Pembroke:
Wow...
