Conversely, they had 16 attempts out of 23 that went for 2 yards or less. Yep, we got mauled and they were in the second level son.
That is no way to sustain drives.

There is a lot of dumb shite going on in this thread.
When we last played we had no, I mean ZERO, D-Tackles. We were still playing a 4-3, with two converted D-ends playing tackle that game. I was there and witnessed Oregon run a dive play at those "tackles" literally 7 plays in a row. Picking up 3/4 yards each play. It was painful.

I wondered when this thread would start. There is a reason a lot of us post here and not on UT boards and it's because they suck arse. What you read elsewhere does not describe most of the UT fans on here.
BTW UT will lose and it really wont be close.

If Oregon doesn't beat us by at least 21, it should be viewed as a complete disappointment.
Our quarterback cannot lead his receivers to save his life.
Our defense cannot create a rush attack on AP or WKU.
Our CBs are weak sauce. Oregon will run 4/5 wide sets to take more advantage of that.
Our OL hasn't manhandled or dominated the light competition we've played so far, so it's hard to believe they'll dominate the underweight DL of Oregon (all under 300lbs except two, barely 300).
Our D will most likely be in a 3-3-5 most of the game given what Oregon runs offensively. If we have Jordan Williams, McCullers, Corey Miller on the line, thats not bad. If we get Maggitt back, with AJ Johnson, & Brewer, thats solid. But the combo of Sutton, Coleman, Moore, McNeil, & Randolph will be tested... A LOT.
We will have to see the game of a life time from a lot of players and get some help from Oregon with turnovers if we even make this game competitive.
Real Talk.

Dude Tennessee fans are very, very delusional every year before the season starts. I mean you should have heard the noise from them before last year's UF vs Tenn game. We apparently had ZERO chance of beating Tennessee. It will fade away fast when Oregon wins by 30-40 points I promise.
You clearly either take troll threads very seriously or get the majority of your information from Volnation.

yawn...ho hum. UT is a year away from being pretty good....but thats next year.
Tennessee is going to be terrible next year.

We as Tennessee fans know we are huge underdogs. I will say I am interested to see how both teams handle the HUNH seeing as both offenses have done it to others how will they respond when done to themselves. If both offenses were as electric as Oregons the possession count would be so high and both defenses so gassed this could be a basketball score. Unfortunately for TN we are in rebuild mode so could get nasty for us in 4th.

I get that you guys are preparing for a loss, but some of the Vol posts on here are depressing. I mean there's always a fighting chance, the game hasn't been played yet.

Where are you getting their weights?

There is a punchers chance. I think the last few years have instilled some reality in to the situation. I have hope for the future and think Butch with do a good job, but he just doesn't have the horses right now.

A few injuries on the offensive line and this may well be Tennessee's worst team ever.
You need depth to beat Oregon. Tennessee has none.

This recruiting class, if he can hold it together, is a great start. But it's not going to get better next year, since the roster is at least 2 recruiting classes away from being something to even build on.

You're not allowed to have hope on the Rant or hell even on Volnation. That said, I do think we've got a fighting chance *but* we would have to play a perfect game and have some breakout players. Maybe have Marquez North's coming out party as the WR we know he is gonna be - Croom and Pig are both due for one as well. And I know Worley's got the arm if he'll just use it. We'll hopefully have Maggitt and Smith back and that will be a major boost. And I'm sure Jones has got a few tricks up his sleeve.
But again, we're going to have to be perfect -- check off every single one of Neyland's Maxims. Otherwise, it can turn out very bad.

Worley has serious trouble throwing the ball to open receivers. I'm terrified for what will happen when we play defenses who will actually cover them.

Worley can hardly throw to open receivers.
He's had trouble with long throws so far but he's also thrown some bullets that not only hit the receivers but were caught. But thanks for backing up my statement that "you're not allowed to have hope."

I'm not saying TENN is beating Oregon, I'm saying the "beaten wife syndrome" of this fanbase is a little pathetic at times.
UT will lose but they're not gonna let Oregon walk all over them.

Worley's arm is a disaster. This isn't really debatable.

It is some of the time but not all of the time. Inconsistent is the word you're looking for.

This will be news to the Gator fans on here, who are for some reason convinced that we go in thinking every year is the year.

I don't expect UT to quit. I do expect Oregon to have a field day with what will either be a very tired first string or an awful second string.
